Fun and relaxing outing

My two sisters and I celebrated my 40th birthday in NYC with no spouses or kids. We spent Friday evening on the Hudson. The boat and its crew were awesome. We expected it to be cold, but it was colder than we expected. Fortunately, the crew had plenty of fleece blankets. It was a tasteful crowd on the boat as well. We enjoyed the people who were sailed with.

My wife and I booked the Sunset Sail and it exceeded our expectations. The Adirondack was immaculate and well maintained, it's captain and crew were knowledgable and friendly and the sailing was wonderful. We had perfect sailing weather, a beautiful sunset and thoroughly enjoyed every minute on board. We have already highly recommended this event to others and will continue to do so. Worth every penny!!

My wonderful wife took me on this trip for my birthday. I work in manhattan and constantly watch the sunrise, I always tell her how beautiful it is and how I wish we could see with it together. We have 3 small children and this wouldn't be an easy task. She did her research and based on the already good reviews this business had received made her decision. I had an amazing time with her and got to enjoy the sunset for the first time. The time spent on the boat was great and it seemed to fly. I give this boat and its crew the best possible rating they can get.

The sail was lovely! A bit windy going downriver, but delightful and quiet once we got out into the harbor. Great views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan! Jersey City looked nice in front of the sunset, as well. The crew was kind, able, and knowledgeable.

My daughter and I were in New york for a theater weekend. She'd never been there before, and said she would like to do the sail so I made the arrangements. Thank you daughter! It was wonderful. We were lucky to have great weather (end of April) and clear sailing. The crew was very friendly and informative when we asked our questions and the views were breathtaking. Once they raised the sails and turned off the engines (which were off for most of the sail) it was quiet, with only the sound of the water and the wind. It was no comparison to the cattle call herds of the ferry's to see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island. the Brooklyn Bridge, Jersey, the Verizona bridge and that incrdible New York skyline Sunset is the best time for pictures as the color comes up so much more and the skyline from the Adirondak had deep rich tones. We have a "boatload" (pardon the pun) of incredible pictures including the Freedom Tower as the sun went down and the lights began to come up. It was well worth the price. Best deal in New York in my opinion.

Remarkable Two Hours

What a remarkable two hours! Worth every minute and every penny (including the tip). Our group of nine was enthusiastically greeted and attended by captain and crew. Mother Nature supplied abundant wind and, thus for the majority of the time, we were silently sail powered. City views from the water are always the best. NYC proved no exception. Note: We cruised on the Adirondak II in November; dressed in layers; uncrowded; city lights at night. Enthusiastically recommended!
