| After skipping out once due to bad weather, my boyfriend and I took another swing and had a wonderful time aboard the Schooner Adirondack with Captain Sarah and her lovely crew. We got a great look at the statue of liberty, and the sun was hitting the building of lower Manhattan on our trip back which made for a beautiful scene. In terms of planning you'll want to check the weather forecast before you buy tickets, as the trip won't be canceled unless the weather is really severe- and your definition of severe weather may not be on par with the opinion of a pro. Also be sure to bundle up- I wore heavy jeans, three shirts under a sweatshirt, gloves, and I was still a bit chilled. It gets quite windy out there, but that's part of the fun! You may want to bring something to snack on with the complimentary champagne, and bring some extra cash so you can tip the crew on your way out (they earned it!). |

| It was a really great experience! My boyfriend and I took this sail for my birthday, right after a Broadway play and right before dinner. It was absolutely the perfect middle to a perfect date. The crew was really friendly and accommodating. There were three rounds of drinks (champagne, wine, or beer), and my boyfriend really enjoyed the local Long Island lager they offered. The pace was just right; not too fast and not too slow. Just enough to enjoy the Manhattan and Jersey skylines (Lady Liberty wasn't such a bad treat either). It was supposed to rain that day, but luckily it didn't. Though naively, my other half and I thought 72 degrees on land would be 72 degrees on the water. Bring a light coat, sweater, or windbreaker, even if its scheduled to be hot that day. Overall, it was a wonderful activity that I recommend to all my friends, and one that I am anxious to try again. |

| I was very disapppointed that although it was raining, we were not refunded our tickets or given the option to sail another day. I have taken this tour before, and enjoyed it very much. However I am not sure what you consider "severe weather" but the boat was soaked and the rain was not letting up . And after rain fall all weekend, I assumed that we would at least been given the opportunity to book another date to sail. The woman at the ticket counter said we would not be refunded and we would be be able to pick another date. After I expressed my disappointment, she said there was another boat going out a little bit later and it was covered, however, I explained that we wanted to sail on the schooner, not a ferry like boat. I insisted that my friends and I purchase the tickets in advance to ensure spots on the boat, so there were 4 of us total that took a loss. And given that the representative was not accomodating, it will be hard for me to convice our group to try to attempt this again. |

| Really enjoyed this experience with my husband and daughter. Totally relaxing, hard working and enthusiastic crew. Avoid the champagne, which was totally disgusting, but the wine was fine and the beer even better. |

| I am an Englishman living in New York and took my visiting parents (who had never been to NYC before) on the sunset sail. It was excellent, great views of the city skyline, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The crew was very welcoming too and the boat was the perfect size. For the price, including 3 rounds of drinks, I couldn't have asked for better value for money. The parents loved it too, which was the main thing. Therefore, I recommend this for any travelling group, or even native New Yorkers who may never had done such a trip before. |

| The sail was fantastic! We totally lucked out. The forecast for the weekend was supposed to be really crummy, but the sun came out and we had a great sunset cruise. The winds could have been a little stronger, but that was nothing we could control. Overall it was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend it! |

| Am repeat customer who usually takes international visitors on this trip and they all love it, as do I. Last time it rained during 1 hour of the 2 hour trip, leaving us soaking wet. To the extent one can forecast the weather, I believe that the firm should have cancelled the trip. This being said, I know that for those people who were concerned about the weather in advance, the firm was flexible and offered rain checks. Bottom line, a truly great way to view NYC from the water, and keep a close eye on the weather forecast yourself to decide whether it makes sense to go or at least take the right precautions. |

| Wonderful sunset cruise on maybe the last beautiful day of the year. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on the sail and thought the crew was very friendly and helpful. Recommend the hot cider and rum on a cool night; however I was impressed with the variety of drinks on board (and the quick refills).
I will remember this sail forever and I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I asked my girlfriend to marry me on the front of the boat and she loved the whole evening. We will definitely be back! |
