Sunset Sail aboard the Schooner Adirondack

The Boat was fantastic, the crew was great - very helpful, funny and engaging and altogether the experience was a lot of fun for everyone. I definitely plan to go again soon and wish i hadnt waited so long to try this.

This is a wonderful experience for family and friends who want a relaxing and delightful time away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Great staff, enjoyable experience, very fun experience. Very highly recommended.

Enjoyable 2.5 hrs! The staff was amazing and the entire experience was worth every penny.

Right after the excursion ended, I thought it was a little weak for the healthy ticket price. But on further reflection, it was appropriately valued. I probably would have liked a little more structured interaction with the crew. The two times we chatted with them (one for a period of about five minutes) were very informative and added to the experience. Watching them set sail was also very good. Just wish there were a few more moments like these. The overall atmosphere was very good. No motors for most of the trip made for a very pleasant, slightly travel-back-in-time feel. Also, while the price initially seemed a bit steep for what we got, the limited number of passengers really was nice. There was never any jockeying for a good seat/view, because they were all good seats. I would recommend to a friend, but if there was another option with slightly more informational/experiential aspects, I would probably choose that.

My husband and I were in New York, celebrating his birthday. I took him on the SunSet Cruise and it was everything he wanted. A beautiful sailing ship, a fabulous view and experience, no children screaming and acting up, and lovely crew. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It wasn't cold on the water, either.

This was my 4th trip with the Adirondack, and I believe my second with the captain. As always, it's a gorgeous ride. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks flowed, and nothing beats being on the water. And since the weather didn't cooperate, we got a great cruise across Buttermilk Channel to make up for the less than ideal sailing conditions. I'm hoping to go again at least once more this summer. How lovely!

We have been on this sailboat ride twice now and have had such a great time, both times! The group was bigger this time (around 50 people) but still calm and relaxing and comfortable. Service is excellent and pleasant. Thanks again for a lovely sunset cruise!

I wish we had actually used the sails more but it was great fun. I do recommend that someone on the boat describe the sights for us next time

This is our second trip on the Adirondack. Having been on the afternoon sail we decided to try the sunset sail. Unfortunately the evening we had chosen was cloudy cold and windy so our expectations of a great evening were dampened. How wrong we were. The wind made for a fantastic night of exciting sailing around New York harbor. The crew ensured everyone was comfortable and all of our party had an absolute blast even without the sunset. We will be back.
