It was so nice being out on the water and getting away from the hubbub of the city. The crew were all so wonderful and friendly. They really make you feel right at home. They welcome any and all questions about sailing. Support the Adirondack. You'll feel like it's money well spent.

Birthday Perfection!!

I had scheduled a cruise for my birthday after reading so many glowing reviews. I had intended to do a 'smaller' birthday this year, but still ended up with about 25-30 attendees. I called Zerve frequently to inquire about remaining available space, who had and hadn't purchased, kids, drinks, you name it, and was always met with a friendly staff member ready to assist. It was never simply polite customer service, but an actual person on the other end of the phone with good humor, clear communication, and a genuine willingness to help in any way you can think of. Sadly, the day of the cruise, the weather was not cooperating and I arrived to find about 20 of my party standing around, sopping wet, delicately preparing to tell me the cruise had been canceled. This is where we (I) might normally have panicked, but thanks to the superhero level heroics by Mark, the Classic Harbor Lines' representative on hand, who refunded, rescheduled, and re-booked every single member of my party *multiple* times throughout the day, we had a hugely successful event. While some folks couldn't wait out the storm, the 20 or so who did were treated to a later cruise with a FANTASTIC crew. We were easily and (seemingly) effortlessly re-booked by Mark who was never without another option or suggestion as to how to save the day. He treated my guests (including my mom) with absolute professionalism and sweetness. Once on board our sunset voyage, Captain Kat and her dreamy crew of Christopher and George (my gal pals were in heaven) hoisted the sails with a smile and then set about pouring the champagne. Someone handed me a birthday hat, and I was treated to a chorus of happy birthday singing from passing boats. The raincoats became an immediate fashion statement and the less than ideal weather didn't hinder our good time even a little bit. Seriously. Everyone had a blast. The service from beginning to end was WELL above par. I will sail with this company every time I need an activity for out of town guests or a celebration. Truly a joy. My only regret is that we couldn't bring Mark along with us for being such a trooper!

THE VIEWS OF THE CITY SKYLINE AND THE STATUE OF LIBERTY ARE BREATHTAKING. THE CREW WAS WARM AND GENEROUS. THE SAILBOAT WAS CHARMING. THE CHAMPAGNE WAS REFRESHING. THIS NIGHT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!

I particularyly enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crew. On a hot night, going out onto the water was so refreshing and it's always great to get up close to the Statue of Liberty. One minor suggestion--some napkins to go with the drinks.

I've been living in New York for the past four years, the others in my group, have been in New York for even longer. This was something that no one had ever done and was such an unbelievable experience! Watching the sunset, while sailing around Manhattan was truly unforgettable. The staff was very friendly and really made the experience even more enjoyable.

ADIRONDACK IS THE BEST!

I have been on the Adirondack before so when my brother & sister in law opted for a NYC visit (1st time in 10 years) I knew this would be a great outing for us and a special way to wrap up our visit on their last night. It did not disappoint - the captain and crew make this very fun and natural. We love that you really sail vs. what other schooners are doing out there motoring the whole way. We also like that it isn't a super structured historical tour. We do think it would be cool if the crew pointed out some little know facts a bit more (the off the beaten path stuff). I recommend the Adirondack to any who will listen to me. Keep doing what you are doing. It is good. Lauren Noonan

We always take people who are visiting from out of town on the Adirondack.... and I love accompanying guests as much as they like going. We always have amazing photos from the 6:30pm tour. This is such a nice trip to take on a warm night and it's so nice that they serve a few rounds of drinks. Once we brought our own cheese and made a little meal of it. I only have good things to say...

Our favorite thing to do in NYC!

My partner and I live nearby, and we have been on the Adirondack sunset sail at least 5 different times, with and without visitors. It is a spectacular way to see the NYC skyline and monuments, far better than other tourist boats (even at full capacity this boat doesn't feel crowded - and being under sail beats a noisy motor any day). We also appreciate the excellent beer and wine selections served on the boat. The crew are professional, capable, friendly and fun. It's tempting to keep this "our little secret" so tickets won't become impossible to get, but I have to be honest, this is our very favorite trip in the city.

Cool Experience

On a perfect day, this is just a great experience to share with friends. Great views, great crew and fun setting. It's a little on the expensive side, but that concern tends to blow away while you are on the boat like the wind in your hair. Perfect way to get the requisite statue of liberty picture, while never having to let go of your glass of champagne.
