Sunset Sail aboard the Schooners Adirondack

Although not my first time on the water, my first time on a sailboat. The crew was so friendly yet didn't overwhelm you. The sites were amazing and the boat was gorgeous. Would highly recommend for couples, friends, family, or by yourself for a nice relaxing escape from the hustle of the city. Will definetly return.

The captain really does not say too much to the passengers, only to say that we can have wine, beer, etc., but my suggestion is that as we pass certain places, buildings, etc, you can tell the passengers what they are seeing, perhaps some educational information about the statue of liberty. Some of these people, probably most of them are NOT from New York and would love to learn something as they are sailing. I think that would make the sail MUCH MORE INTERESTING, otherwise all you really do is sit , with not much more to do than watch the scenary. Even I as a New Yorker would welcome the knowledge, because some of the builidings and areas of New York, I too am not faimiliar with. It was fun, just could be more fun if the gentlemen sailing the boat had a little more to say to the people. Thank you so much. Mary Ostric P.S. I had asked previous to the sail, via email whether my husband could have sailed the boat, and I noticed that the people closest to the captain did take the wheel. It would have been nice if the captain would have offered the wheel to anyone with experience, my husband would have loved it. But he did not say anything, so we just assumed you could not take the sail.

This was a great event for a date. We had a beautiful night. Be forewarned: they pack people in on the boats (about 30 for mine), so pick your spot to sit carefully. We were lucky to be on the "sunset side" and a bit away from some of the other groups.

I was a bit skeptical initially, fearing that the boat would be overrun by tourists, but it was actually a very nice mix of people, mostly local. The staff were very pleasant and even let us help raise the sails! I do recommend the tour and will take visitors on it next time I have someone staying over.

And can't thank her enough. We had a blast. Our captain and the crew were all attentive and the captain answered all questions we had about buildings we saw while cruising.

A great experience - I spent 7 years living in New York but it was still a new, wonderful experience. We did the 6pm sail - I haven't done the other times but I have to believe this was the perfect time. The sun was about to set, painting the West side in Gold. Majestic. Service was very courteous and friendly. I'd definitely do it again with friends from out-of-town. A very refined way to tour NYC...

We went on a sunset sail in early October. It was a lovely way to see Manhattan, sipping champagne as darkness fell, and the Schooner was very comfortable. The crew were also very pleasant and professional.

Boarding the sailboat you can't help to think... will this tip over?? A slight fear of water, the crew and staff was absolutely comforting and amazing. The nice and undisturbed quite tour with beverages of your choice are a special treat.

We had a great time. The crew was very nice and made the trip a blast.
