Sunset Sail aboard the Schooners Adirondack

From the moment we were escorted onto the schooner we were pampered and attended to. The captain gave us clear and concise information regarding how the booms and masts operate and and what to do in case of an accident. The trip itself was a delight with the wonderfully attentive staff taking turns hoisting the sails, pouring drinks and offering blankets. As the sun set behind the Statue of Liberty we slowly tacked along the Hudson viewing the magnificent skylines and breathtaking colors bouncing of the towering buildings. When our two hours was up we slid through the water back into port wishing it had been longer and that we had booked this excursion sooner.

really enjoyed it.... even though it was raining at the time we were supposed to go, they gave us the option to come back in about 45 minutes and we would be able to go if the rain had stopped by then, and it did and we were able to go.... the ride itself was great, would highly recommend it.

Im not a big talker or writer, all i can say is, I loved every minute of it. the sunset was beautiful and the sights were amazing and it was one of the most wonderful experiences i have ever had. The booze could have been better tho lol.

Everything was great, despite the fact that we set sail in the middle of a horrible wind and rainstorm. We still had fun. My only negative comment was the captain's strange attempt at humor denigrating women for clogging up the toilet with hygiene products. It was mildly offensive and certainly not funny. Other than that we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Very relaxing. Didn't feel too touristy. A nice escape for locals.

The Crew was SUPERB. The crew was very attentive to our needs, and Curteous. They were knowledgable with history of the boat and such and very generous with drinks; though we did not ask for more than 3 each the cups were filled to the top. We felt very safe the entire time and did not get seasick as I am, sensitive to motion sickness. The 6:15pm trip was great because we left in the daytime and returned at night so you get double the views for your money. I would reccomend this specific trip to any- and everyone, we had so much Fun and met some awesome people!

I have lived in the 5 boroughs for 25 years and thought i had seen all the picturesque outlines of the skyline. This sail trip took us right next to the buildings but far enough to see the whole thing.. We saw views of Jersey, Staten island and Manhattan i had never seen. Plus the light beams for 9/11 and the sunset were amazing.

What a wonderful trip from start to finish. The ship, the crew, and the sail were perfect. The crew was attentive to detail and friendly at all times and the experience was wonderful. I'd be thrilled to go again anytime!

I took the sunset cruise with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Although they claim it is not a booze cruise, they were very generous with the alcohol. A definite must-do activity for NYC.

Good crew & a good wind made for perfect sail.
