Have done the architectural tour and wanted to go again. Did the brunch trip with my husband for our 7th wedding anniversary. Was such a beautiful peaceful day. Staff was great, attentive and knowledgeable. Looking into the Bear Mountain trip and maybe another brunch cruise for my mother in laws 75 th birthday. Food was yummy and plentiful. |

We went on the first sailing day of the season. It was a bit brisk and windy, but that made things more interesting. We motored out and then the crew raised the sails. Thanks to a mid-teens blow, the Adirondack zipped along, occasionally heeling in ways that surprised the less experienced folks on board. The crew was most hospitable, offering soft drinks, beer, and/or blankets, as requested. The only improvement I can think off would be to take the trip around sunset, but option was not yet available. Highly recommended. |

I LOVE THIS TRIP. I've scheduled it for office events in the past, but took it for a friend's birthday this past weekend, and can't rave about it enough. The employees are always casual and friendly, the day is delightful, and NYC always looks great from far away. Would do this every weekend if I could. |

Comfortable boat with excellent views from everywhere aboard - inside or out. Small group feel aboard with no overcrowding. We would definitely cruise on The Manhattan again. |

I usually look forward to taking the boat to Liberty Island and Ellis Island when I visit New York. However this year Liberty Island was closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy so I looked for an alternative trip. I found this trip online and booked it - great trip, lovely views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Crew were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend it. |

We went on one of the afternoon sails with friends from out of town. This is a great way to see Manhattan without a narrated tour. It's perfect if you want to look at the great views but still have conversation. The ride was smooth and quiet when the motor wasn't running. The boat tipped side to side when it turned, which I guess is typical for a sail boat, but the crew let us know that it would happen, and they seemed to be in control the entire time. It provided some excitement for the guys. I can't say enough about the crew, they were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Awesome way to spend the afternoon and I will do it again. |

My wife and I and my 2 grown children took the cruise on a Friday night. We had a wonderful time. It was simply wonderful to see New York city at night all lit up. The cruise takes you up to midtown and turns around, and takes you down to the statue of liberty and up the east river to the Brooklyn Bridge. The cruise takes about 90 minutes. You can either sit inside (large picture windows) or stand outside on the decks. The cruise comes with 1-drink (beer or wine). We also ordered the cheese plate....... |

April 2013. Rain by the very end of the trip but that didn't impact the tour at all.
Incredibly knowledgeable (professional architect) lecturer. Almost an overload of
info re architects and buildings. Extremely interesting info on the Brooklyn,
Queens and Bronx waterfronts as well as Governor's Island and Liberty and Ellis
Islands and all the bridges.
We've been on the Chicago River tour by the Chicago Arch. Foundation which I believe
in talking to people all over the country is the standard by which such tours are judged.
Naturally that is a much shorter tour (it's a long way around Manhattan!) and deservedly
regarded as excellent. An advantage in Chicago is that in a way smaller town and
approachable from inside the city, you can deal with older and culturally important structures
that may be too small or in older parts of Manhattan not visible for this tour to deal with. That does
not diminish the Manhattan tour at all. The provision of snacks and liquids makes a three
hour tour very very easy to take indeed. As folks who have been to a lot of places and on
neighborhood etc. tours, I cannot emphasize enough the excellence of the lecturer who we
had on this trip.
I may be a little prejudiced because I grew up in New York and the Circle Line trip around
Manhattan was something terrific even for a young person (and we did it many times in my
youth) so this took me back to the 1940s and 1950s.
Not to be missed (in fact we who are from San Francisco have had to recommend it
to my brother and multiple old friends in NYC who had no idea about the trip and
who will now definitely make reservations!). |

Excellend Architecture Boat Tour of Manhatta

Narration by AIA architect, whose name I have unfortunately lost, was very detailed and interesting -- a huge amount of information I am still trying to match up with the many photos I took. And service, including snack service, by boat crew was excellent. The only problem was not being able to look out of boat at both shores at the same time in the Harlem and East Rivers. I feel I should do the tour again in reverse direction. All in all a wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much. I have already recommended it and will continue to do so. |

A relatively small boat provides an intimate milieu. Refreshments are very nice. Guide is extremely knowledgeable. |
