Great tour with excellent service and views

This was my second time to take the tour. The first time my experience was better, because our captain gave so much detailed information on our trip. This time, we got as close to nothing as a tour guide can give. I was extremely dispointed with that, given I had just paid for 20 of my co-workers to go on the cruise with me. They were from all over the world and a detailed verbal tour of what we were seeing would have been enjoyable for them. That being said, we enjoyed ourselves very much and I would recommend for anyone to take the trip. Apparently I just got lucky with a great tour guide the first time! Regards,

The information provided by the architect was informative and very interesting. As a life-long Manhattanite I saw parts of the city that were new to me and I enjoyed seeing the city itself from a different perspective. Staff was attentive. I'd take this tour again.

I've seen Manhattan from the water a number of times, but I still learned a lot from our informative guide. The boat is extremely comfortable, and the wine and snacks were a nice added attraction.

The trip was well done. My son and I have made a number of trips around Manhattan island. This was the best. The AIA guide/talk was very informative and added to our understanding of the development of NYC. I would have liked more detail about the design of specific buildings. In fairness though; so many structures, so little time. We enjoyed the trip which was very comfortable on a cold and windy day.

We enjoyed seeing the city from the water and hearing about the architecture of buildings and bridges. The AIA guide was informative and lively. The tour group was a nice small size, so we could ask questions. The food and drink were pleasant and the service helpful. Highly recommended!

made this a cruise for all senses aboard the Manhattan. The narrator was very knowledgeable; in fact I think he could have said even more about every building if he'd had time! There's also quite a fine wine, cheese, and fruit spread - must be related to the Manhattan's other offering of a wine tasting cruise. You must see the NYC skyline this way.

The main tour guide was fantastic, the secondary one - a landscape architect, I presume - a little less so. Keep him, find a replacement for her. Would highly recommend.

Although damage from Sandy prevented our tour from making the full circuit, there was more information than we could absorb as it was. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Arthur was clear and informative and apparently tireless. We were particularly interested in the discussion of the hard and soft coastal barriers, since we knew a little about the MoMA exhibit of several years ago, Rising Currents. And we appreciated the snacks! We have already recommended this tour to several friends in the city, who did not know about it. A little pricey but exciting.

I very much enjoyed this boat cruise. The food was good, if informally served. The boat was also more rustic than I thought it would be, but still nice. I had imagined that it would be similar to a Circle Line cruise, but it was very much the opposite. There were very few people, it was a small boat, there were no long lines, and the boat was very low and close to the water. At first this turned me off, because everything was not shiny and new, and you had to get your own food! But in the end, it was nice that things were more intimate, even with the staff, and you felt closer to nature. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, unless you need things to be super fancy.
