Classic Harbor Line

The schooner takes you up the Hudson to Liberty Island where you cruise around for a while. I recommend the Day Sail for 3 reasons: - small boat - few people to quarrel for space with: there were 11 guest and 3 crew members and everyone had plenty space to walk and sit and take all the pics they liked - quiet boat - you feel sorry for the poor people on the noisy and crowded ferries and tourist boats while you enjoy a beer on deck. awesome! - great crew - though this is not a sightseeing tour (i.e. no one will point you at buildings or show off their knowledge of history) the crew is ready to give answer any questions about the boat or the city (if they know them) I bet this is even excting for New Yorkers - pack a picknick basket, grab your girl and get on a boat!

This was by far our favorite part of our trip! We had seen all the sights and done all the touristy things in past trips and just wanted to do something different. This definitely qualified, and surpassed our expectations. The sailboat down the Hudson at night provided a beautiful view of the city lights and Lady Liberty in all her glory. We even got a free fireworks show off in the distance. The captain and mates were very hospitable. And the complimentary drinks were the icing on the cake! I have already recommended this to many of my friends. One negative (which had nothing to do with the cruise) was transportation. If you plan on taking a cab back or riding the subway, please be aware getting cab from the Chelsea Piers area might be a bit difficult and the nearest subway closed at midnight. I have just moved to the city and it has turned out to be everything and more than I expected. In my 7 weeks so far, the Adirondack day sail has been among my favorite introductions to all that the city has to offer. WIth complimentary drinks, friendly staff, beautiful sights, and the music of the waves, this sail was WELL worth the money! I will take all of my out of town guests and local friends on this day sail. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the water and a relaxing couple of hours away from the noise of Manhattan!

I booked the City Lights Sail as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We live out of state and so I was a little apprehensive about the booking process and the actual sail. I would definitely book this again and have recommended this site and the City Lights Sail to my friends who are visiting the area. The crew were friendly and informative and the best part of all was you didn't feel like you were doing a "tourist activity". It was like taking an evening sail with friends...very relaxing and enjoyable.

My wife and I visited NY for the first time and absolutely loved the Sunset Cruise. It provided great views, great music, and a few free drinks. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing evening before painting the town red.

I took my boyfriend on this cruise as a surprise in lieu of the traditional birthday dinner and we had an AMAZING time. Not only did we get to eat excellent sushi, but we got to enjoy generous helpings of sakes we had both never tried before. The chef was friendly & knowledgeable & the staff (for the most part) were as well. We went on a cloudy day but we think that only magnified the beauty of the scenery. Also the boat wasn't overpacked so despite the fact we were sitting next to others, we didn't feel crowded & it was easy to talk & move around & take pictures. I highly recommend this trip & have already had several of my friends to sign up for the Aug. 9th trip.

My girl-friend and I received a gift of 2 tickets to the sail, and we went on it lat week. It was all of the above plus the crew served ample beverages and were very friendly. The other people aboard were very nice to meet and talk to. Nothing compares with the views of Manhattan and New Jersey. The seamanship was excellent. A beautiful way to spend an evening. We are recommending the sail to all our friends. We will also use it as a gift option.

Friendly crew, comfy boat, great drinks/service and wonderful views. A great way to see the sites with an out of town guest without feeling like a tourist!

In the description of the trip, it said this was not a "booze cruise" which automatically disappointed me, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the champagne flowed pretty freely! No one got "wasted" or anything, but definitely enjoyed a sweet buzz as we cruised the harbor. The staff was AWESOME. Super friendly, really knowledgeable and of course very generous with the drinks. My sister, an out-of-towner, said it was her favorite NY experience to date. Overall, for a beautiful 2 hr tour and free beer/wine/champagne, this is one of the best harbor tours the city has.

Good time, quick way to tour parts of NY. Don't wear a skirt/dress that flows. Even on a day where there's very little wind, you'll find yourself spending more time holding down your skirt, then taking photos or enjoying a drink from the bar. Also, if you are pregnant you can substitute your Champagne for Pineapple juice in a flute.

It's a good size boat. You get to see much of the harbor from a unique vantage point. We had a top 10 night in terms of weather. The crew was helpful and entertaining.
