| it was my friend's birthday, and this was what she wanted for her birthday. I was worried, because she had both knees operated on 3 months ago (and still had to take pain killers) and I was afraid the whole thing would be awful. BUT ... it was everything it could possibly be! The weather was spectacular (just enough breeze to make a good sail possible), with light clouds and wonderful sunset. The staff was helpful, cooperative and competent and the entire complement had a wonderful time. I sailed a small sloop out of Glen Cove, Long Island, for two summers, so I knew a little bit of how much work and effort went into making this such a pleasant and seemingly effortless event. I would recommend this short-but-oh-so-sweet sail around the harbor to absolutely anybody and everybody (although not to families with young children: it's too tough to try and make the little ones sit for 2 hours). When I booked the cruise, I thought the price was a bit steep for a mere two hours sitting in a sailboat. But -- thanks in part to the glorious weather and the captain's experience and competence -- after my friend and I arrived back at Pier 59, we both felt we had gotten a great bargain! Too bad my birthday's in January; otherwise I know what I'd ask for ... for sure! | ||||||

| This is one of my absolute favorite things to do with friends from out of town when they come visit. It is an absolutely phenomenal view of Manhattan that even as a resident renews my love of the city. It's a great way to take advantage of beautiful summer weather and the crew is always so personable, making the experience so much fun. I've gone on the cruise with my boyfriend, my parents and even my colleagues- it is completely appropriate and truly, truly enjoyable for any small group. I can't believe the tickets are so reasonable for what the experience is. This is hands-down one of the best value and experience in Manhattan in the summer. | ||||||

| My third time aboard the yacht Manhattan, from Classic Harbor LInes, a beautiful replica 1920s commuter. She's about 80 feet long with ample seating indoors and on the foredeck. This company is extremely well run and also offers two schooners. There is no better way to see New York Harbor. | ||||||

| The Waterfalls are probably more interesting to see at night, but we were VERY pleased with the whole experience! The boat itself was absolutely LOVELY....fresh flowers on the tables, beautiful background music, intimate....staff were very nice and friendly. Highly recommended to locals in need of a fresh perspective... | ||||||

| The Day Sail experience was fantastic! You are able to see NYC from a entirely different perspective from the water. It is truly a unique experience. The crew was great, very nice and entertaining. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone in NYC, local resident or tourist. | ||||||

| We originally had tickets for a sunset sail. The predicted weather was for rain and heavy winds. We were able to easily re-schedule our sail for a few days later when the weather was forecast for sunny skies. We were very happy to show our guests from Germany the beauty of the New York coastline. We saw the "Waterfalls" from the water. They were stunning. We had a spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty and New Jersey. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. I would have liked them to be better acquainted with the buildings we saw. None of the staff was able to identify the buildings we asked about. My husband gets sea-sick and he was very comfortable on the schooner Adirondack. I would take this sail again. | ||||||

| I took my father and wife on the cruise and they loved it. She loved it because she could be sit inside where it was cool and not as bumpy and dad loved it because we got so close to the Statue of Liberty. Not to mention that I brought my 2 year old son with me. He loved being outside and being shown all the sites. I highly recommend it to anyone. | ||||||

| We enjoyed our trip very much, the food was excellent, the yaht was beautiful. Don't forget that there are many courses on the trip, we filled up on bagles and lox, fruit and pastries and didn't eat much of the pancakes, saussages, french toast, or ham that came out later. A free drink (alcoholic or non) is offered. Highly recommended. | ||||||

| This is a really special way to see yet another aspect of this great city. Although one can't help feeling romantically inclined sailing quietly along by moonlight, this would be a great experience for friends, family, dates, locals, or visitors. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and ensures your safety. A glass of wine with refill was a nice touch. In my top 10 experiences of NYC, even as a local! | ||||||

| It was a beautiful night and a full moon. What a wonderful way to see the city. The moonlight made the water glisten. Crew of the Schooner did an awesome job of making us comfortable and provided us with plenty of beverages. I enjoyed it so much that I will take this trip again. | ||||||

| My fiance and I went on the sailboat with the impression we were going on this romantic tour of the city seeing all these different sights. Unfortunately, it was not at all like that. 1. the captain didn't say one word or explain where we were the WHOLE time 2. we went to the statue of liberty turned around and came back 3. we didnt even go near the Brooklyn bridge or anything else it explained we would do in the packet I think I wasted my money and I am very upset.
