The timing, crew, and format were perfect. Only critique was that it was too short

We sailed with 3 adults and 5 children age 10 - 17 yrs. on the sunset cruise. It was a perfect evening! The crew was great - very personable and a lot of fun - and the boat was in great shape. I have lived in the NYC area for a long time and just discovered the sunset sail - what a fantastic way to see the Statue and the lower Manhattan skyline lit up at night. I would hightly recommend it for entertaining out of town guests or just with your family. I have been on a competing company's boat and this experience was better - mainly because of the crew. Also, it felt like there weren't as many people crowded to together. Go! Enjoy! Don't miss it!!

What a great day to escape the hustle of the city and yet be able to view the island from an entirely new angle. The captain and crew were very polite , helpful, and accomodating. The boat is well maintained, very stable and secure. It was a great feeling to hear the engines shut down and to heel-over under quiet sail power. Now, if you could only guarantee 20- 25 knots wind speed. Thanks, I will be back!

Even for us New Yorkers, this was a special treat. Not only was the weather spectacular (which helped tremendously) the atmosphere on the boat was relaxed, friendly, and accomodating. The crew was wonderful - they were kind enough to take pictures for us, they treated everyone on the boat as special guests, and stopped/slowed at all the right places. they were terrific. we felt like tourists in our own city. and the bride to be (for whom the trip was planned) was ecstatic.

the only negative issue with that sail was that the server of drinks on our side of the vessel quit after two rounds. the other server kept serving throughout the sail.

The weather was fine but not much winds..... 1/3 of the time the engine was on..... Try it on windy days. No one overboard! but do not worry, captain will turn around the schooner and pick you up again on board. After 10 years, the schooner is spotless clean! I forgot to ask them if they use coconuts to clean the deck...

We have taken traditional sightseeing cruises around Manhattan and this one is so different. We were on a sailboat and it felt like we were out on a Saturday afternoon with friends. We loved it... Take this cruise, you will enjoy yourself immensely!

Our family really enjoyed this novel way to see the sights of Manhattan. The crew was great. However, this sail was a bit more adventurous than a typical tourist might like. We had high winds and the sails were up fully with the boat tilted all the way to the side for a good part of the trip. Although we had inquired about life jackets, they were not issued (said to be on board), and we were not issued one for our five year old once requested upon realization of how fast/full tilt this trip would. Although my family enjoyed the sail, I, as a mother, was, unfortunately, too concerned for the safety of my children on this sail to truly enjoy myself.

As a native New Yorker I tend to avoid touristy things, like tour buses, Times Square, and sunset cruises. But the truth is, I'll gladly do touristy things in other cities, so why not in my hometown? It was a calm, dry August night, and I thought it would be fun to see the city from the water as visitors see it. My partner and I got tickets a few hours before the cruise and sailed down the Hudson with about 25 other people. We drank champagne and talked with other passengers and felt like we were somewhere far away. The 2-hour ride seemed to end before it began. Robert, the captain, was warm and friendly, and the rest of the crew made us all feel at ease. If I had known a sailboat ride would be this relaxing, I would have done it years ago. Whether you're a local or a visitor, you won't be disappointed!

Have done lots of things with visiting family members for years but this was the absolute best. Took my 2 nieces aged 20 and 22 on the 4-6PM sail onthe Imagine schooner, and they had a fantastic time. More to the point so did I --and I've lived in Manhattan 25 years. The captain and crew were wonderful and friendly, the schooner impressive and the views astonishing; we sailed right up next to the Statue of Liberty. I would happily do this again, even without visitors. For my nieces, this was the highlight of their trip.

I would highly highly recommend this cruise to anyone. Our group included single friends, married friends, friends with children and grandparents! My five year old had the time of her life!! The captain was fantastic, the weather was perfect and boat sailed like a charm! The sites were breathtaking and the entire evening (a surprise birthday gift for my husband) was MAGICAL!!!

Hi A group of us had a wonderful experience for our dear friend's bridal shower/bachelorette party on Saturday. The crew was gracious and friendly - the cruise itself was GORGEOUS! Seeing the statue of liberty and the New York skyline on board of such a beautiful boat was something that our friend will never forget....it was relaxing, elegant and just a wonderful time. Our group was comprised of all New Yorkers and we have certain expectations (I know we are a jaded but it's a reality!)....it is so nice to know that this is an option for a future get together...we will be back! Thank you!!

This is an awesome adventure that will get you away from the intense heat and the overwhelming crowds of Manhattan on a summer day.Great photo opps!! The schooner is beautiful and the captain is freindly.I think the crew was a bit unfreindly, maybe because of the heat !!! Regarless ,I would have tipped much better had they been more interactive and freindly.The skyline and the Statue of Liberty is incredible,but I would have liked to have been informed as to all the other interesting sites we were looking at!! I would do this trip again if i returned to NY.
