great for tourists and non-tourists alike! imagine you're on a quiet boat at night, the hussle and bussle of the city left behind, quietly skimming the water in a SAILBOAT on the hudson! it's fantastic! the crew was great - came around at least 3 or 4 times with beverages. we got on the boat - there was a short safety schpeel and then we were off. the crew was very low key and pretty much let us do our own thing. no identifying landmarks or giving speeches about cheesy NYC history. just me and my man, drinking champagne on the hudson. perfect.

I bought the City Lights Sail for my boyfriend as a birthday present and he loved it! The weather was perfect, the crew on board were so nice, and we got free champagne/beer! I would highly recommend this whether you are a tourist or a local New Yorker. Makes a nice romantic evening or a fun night with your friends. Great way to see NYC at night!

Very nice crew-proffesional. Description of cruise was exactly what we experienced. A quiet sail to enjoy the full moon and city lights We were offered drinks three or four times during the cruise. I highly reccomend this trip for couples.

Several years ago I took my husband on the evening sail with Adirondack sailing tours and we loved it, so when my family came to visit I booked it for them as well. It has been a hit all around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a great way to see a different side of the city, the views are magnificent, and the setting is relaxed and fun. After a hectic day of running around the hot city, it was great for all of us to sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy the cool breezes, great company and gorgeous views. Some of us have been known to get seasick, but not here. I recommend it to everyone coming to NYC or locals who are looking for something different. I can't say enough good things about it. We are all ready to go around again!

Friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise (fabulous weather helped) but it was well organised, crew were friendly and the drinks were cold - what more do you need on a Friday evening!

Sailing on the Hudson River at sunset is a great way to get an up close view of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline of Manhattan. My family really enjoyed the experience. It was very pleasant to sail the Hudson with the boats sails set, and to watch the sun setting and lights emerging on the city's buildings. We'd highly recommend this activity to people of all ages.

I do this trip every summer and this year may even do three times. It is fantastic and the best way to see the statue of liberty. the drinks made three rounds this time which was nice. I only wish the motor would go off sooner and that we could extend the time a bit.....

My husband and I enjoyed a terrific evening sail last Friday night. The crew were very friendly and answered all our questions. It was a delightful way to start our weekend.

I'm a sailor and own a small 22 ft sailboat so this sail was extremely appreciated. Weather was very good and the wind was up so in addition to the incredible sights of New York City we had a fantastic sail. The boat is a delight to be sailed. I also appreciated very much the opportunity to join the crew in hoisting the sails. Excellent and polite service by the crew.

When we got to the small booth and gate no one was there. We wondered if we were in the right place but we were early. We wondered if we'd have a private cruise. Then 20 minutes later when we came back out, there were some folks lined up. We got on board and there were about 20 of us. It was perfect. We could stand directly at the rails, move around easily and take as many shots of the scenery as we liked with no one standing in the way. The Captain was very knowledgeable about all aspects of what we were seeing and I could hear him clearly. The staff served the drinks, helped us take pictures and were knowledgeable themselves of the sights. It was a great day for the cruise. The water was calm, cool and beautiful. If you don't like long waits and crowds, then this is the cruise for you.

Nice little outing but despite the frequent use of the engines, the boat only went down the Hudson up to Lady Liberty and back. Unfortunately, no passing under any bridges on the East river as we were promised. Drinks were served in abundance which gave me the impression that many people came along for having a couple of drinks in an unusual setting and for only $50, rather than for the unique sailing boat trip itself. And probably the captain knew this very well because she didn't event attempt to give us the tour we were promised. Nice experience anyway, but it could have been even nicer...

The day sail on the Adirondack was loads of fun with the family. The crew was friendly and accommodating. Views of NY Harbor and Statue of Liberty were breathtaking. Highly recommend.
