Nice looking, comfortable boat. Not too many attendees, that made the cruise even better. Great food, nice crew and marvellous trip around Manhattan. We celebrated our daughter's birthday, and this one will definitely stay as one of the few unforgettable event of her life. Highly recommended.

Not to be missed!

The afternoon cruise on The Manhattan was fantastic. It was truly one of the highlights of our visit to NYC. The captain was patient in going past the Statue of Liberty - which was very awesome and the views of the Manhattan skyline were great as well. This is a far better cruise than the large vessels that take out a few hundred at a time. The Manhattan is intimate and comfortable. Not to be missed!

Fantastic sailing!

I loved this sailing excursion. The sailboat was so beautiful and its Captain and crew were very nice. We sailed around the statue of liberty which was quite beautiful! Free beers and sodas offered, and service was exceptional. I highly recommend this trip and not very expensive either, totally worth every penny.

Wonderfull sailing morning

We have had a wonderfull sailing morning at Hudson River, my wife and myself. I,m very fond of sailing, and a boat owner at home, in Málaga ( South of Spain )sailing trough all the spanish coasts, since more of 40 years. I must say that the two hours I enjoyed your fine schooner ADIRONDACK were. doubtless, the best momment of our visit to NY. I go to NY almost every year to see my daughter who lives there, and We hope to repeat next year this pleasant experience. We were also very pleasd to meet the boay crew, very good proffesional and very friendly. I hope toe see them next year. I have a friend who goes to NY next month, and I reccommended enthusiastically to enjoy the trip. Till next year, we hope. Ignacio Dorao PS. I send, via Email, some pictures of your skipper with us

Our captain and the staff were great! With such a small group, we really got to experience their friendliness. The sail itself was incredible. Some great views of an otherwise familiar city.

Sunset Sail to Lady Liberty

The evening of our cruise was cold and windy. Having rained all day, the drizzle had finally cleared and so we set sail. Due to the weather, most guests cancelled and so we shared the boat with only one other couple and three crew - Julian our skipper and two deck hands - valerie and christopher. All were good humoured and friendly. We were given waterproof gear and blankets to ward off the chill and set sail down the river. The boat was a beautiful 80ft double masted schooner which handled easily. Under Julian's guidance, my husband got a turn skippering her out to Liberty. .. this was the highlight of his trip to New York! As it got dark the manhattan skyline lit up and unfolded in all it's glory and we sailed slowly back to shore - cold but extremely satisfied with our magical and unforgettable sail on Adirondack.

The trip was a combined Mother's day/birthday present. Both I and my parents/sister really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, and the service was good. We were especially pleased with the blankets, which made up for the exceptionally chilly conditions. I was also pleased to find out that I could easily rebook the event.

HIghly recommended

I live in NYC and was worried that this would seem too touristy when a friend asked me if I wanted to go on the tour. It was excellent - I cannot recommend it enough. I'd recommend it for locals as well as tourists who are looking for a good experience outside of the typical tourist type activities.

Great views of the city
Sat, May 8, 10   10:30 AM dalexander3 Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
This far exceeded our expectations. I loved that it was a smaller boat with a more intimate feel. The food was yummy, and the views were amazing! We planned this activity because there was a strong chance of rain that day, and we figured if it rained, there was an indoor part of the boat that we could stay dry in, while still enjoying views of New York. Luckily, the rain cleared up after about an hour, and we were able to go back and forth from the outside deck to the indoor dining part. Highly recommend!

Made a special family celebration more special

Crew were accommodating and personable, and set a "fun" tone for the cruise. Weather started out gray/rainy, became sunny/lovely, with wind kicking up near the end. Our occasion was 92nd birthday of our mom/grandmother; assorted family group from Brooklyn NY & Wisconsin, ages 29-92. Food was very good, and well-presented. Other passengers on our cruise were amiable - lucky, since in the relatively close quarters, an obnoxious group could be an issue, although suspect that the professional crew would have techniques to address those situations. There is enough deck space for those who wanted to be outside, with a couple of stationary benches good for those who wanted to be outside, but seated, i.e. older people or those with some degree of inability to stand for very long. The head was surprisingly clean and pleasantly decorated - beyond the basics required. The tour hit the high spots appropriately - was a bit hard to hear the captain's narration at times, with the guests' talk and other unavoidable boat noise, but we generally got the point. Well worth the $85 cost. The only glitch was small - signage at Chlsea Piers shows the old location, and if there was something that did direct us to you - other than "Pier 62", which is also not marked on the external signage, we missed it - long walk to the other end, then back again after the right directions received from another tenant and a phone call to pier. Would also have been helpful to know we were looking for a kiosk, not an actual storefront. But after we actually took the cruise - thanks for an overall great addition to the birthday celebrations, which the birthday honoree thought was just great.

Smooth Sail and Great Sunset Photos
Fri, May 7, 10   6:30 PM vailmiller Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our adult children wanted to plan a special Mother's Day weekend for me, so among other exciting NYC treats we took the sunset cruise on the Adirondack. It was excellent and we all had a great time. Our Captain gave us a smooth cruise and enabled us to take some fantastic sunset photos of the Statue of Liberty and NYC and NJ shorelines. The crew was very hospitable and upbeat. Highly recommend the cruise.
