This is a great way to see the skyline and to sail near the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The crew was very friendly and and the locally brewed beers were very good. |

This was a fabulous adventure! It rained on the day of our trip, but coming from the high desert in California this type of weather was a delight! Captain Tom and is crew made a rainy day a fun day. The food for this brunch was amazing as were the crew and other passengers. I highly recommend this adventure for anyone. If we could enjoy it on such a rainy day, I can only imagine how fabulous it would be on a beautiful clear day... maybe next time! Thanks Captain Tom! |

We had a terrific day. It started with a walking tour from Brooklyn Heights, Across the Brooklyn Bridge, through the World Trade Center Site and up to Chelsea Pier. We arrived at the docks and were excited to see the Adirondack returning from the Sunset Cruise with an enthusiastic Crew and guests. We were delighted by the kind handling of the crew and the way that they served us. The best part was that we were able to feel as though we were the only guests aboard the ship. The silence of the night moving across the water and up to the Statue of Liberty was an amazing feeling of pride in being an American. With all that we have been through as a country, this day in the city was completed with a simple 2 hour cruise that made us proud to be here. Cheers to the Adirondack! Cheers to America! |

We had a blast and loved every minute of the cruise. When my parents come in town next week I want to take them, and I want to take my boyfriend when he comes into town next time. The boat takes you right up to the Statue of Liberty, and if you get cold they provide you with fleece blankets. Plus there is plenty of alcohol to keep you warm =) |

A group of friends went out for my husband's birthday and we have been saying for 2 days now that we would definitely go again. The boat is lovely and comfy, and the crew was great. The views were spectacular. I have no complaints, and I'm a complainer!
Can't wait to go again! |

As a resident of Fairfield County, located only a short 40 minute train ride to New York City, I have been in/out of the city more times than I can count. This was BY FAR the most amazing and memorable trip I've ever taken. I booked a 6pm Sunset Cruise for the end of September for my boyfriend and I to try something different. Once on the boat, we received our 1st drink of choice (Brooklyn Brown!). The other guests were wonderful too (no children on our Sunset Cruise!)....even offering us some of their cheese and crackers brought from home! It was awesome. I highly suggest young couples jump at the chance to get tickets for a sail you won't forget! |

Fun and new way to see NYC with family visitors

For a city that offers everything, finding new ways to entertain family and friends in NYC can sometimes be tricky. A sail on the schooner Image was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours on a gorgeous September afternoon when my parents were visiting. The crew (Julian, Stu and George - please excuse any misspellings) was exceptional. For those who are sailors or fist-timers it's a great way to see a working sail boat up close, and have the wind take you down to the Statue, Ellis Island, lower bridges, etc. Beverages served by the crew are a nice touch. A must see/do for tourists and locals. |

We are a sailing family and have been on the water many times. We took our two boys ages three and six. While the six year old has been out sailing for over four hours, our three year old got a little tired at the end. My recommendation if you bring children is to supply they with a snack. The schooner is a beautiful sailing vessel and she is fast. The view from the Hudson River gave us a unique way to see lower Manhattan. Our trip was NOT crowed. I was concerned when I read reviews from the Circleline boat tours about the large crowds and not being able to see. I think they say the boat can hold 40 passengers we had five other people. The captain and crew were nice and provided good service. Like the other reviews do not expect a narrated tour. They will answer and question and are very personable. Of course the view of Lady Liberty was awesome! This activity was the best part of our weekend in NYC. |

Small and quaint

It was small and quaint, yet it was a little crowded environment to expect people to go and help themselves to food. The boat can shift because its small, prople moving and going to get food and drinks can be somewhat of a challenge.
Additionally, we sat around a square table and we were seated against the window. Everytime we wanted to get up, we had to ask the couples at either end of us to get up so that we could get out.
On the other hand, although the choices of food was limited, everything was fresh and there was an abundance of food to eat. The staff was friendly and courteous and the narrator did a very good job. |
