Bestpart of NYC experience!

| When I decided to take a group of graduated high school students to NYC for three days, I knew there would be tons to do, and that we had a short window of opportunity. I came across the advertisement for this attraction, and knew instantly this would be the experience these students would all remember for their lifetime. None of the 9 students I had with me had ever been on a sailboat, let alone travelled to NYC. Sailing through the harbor put the city in a new perspective for them, and renewed their adventure as we sailed past the Statue of Liberty. The crew of the Adirondack were super friendly, generous in their time, and helped to amke the trip very relaxing for those "first-timers" aboard the ship. The Captain went abov and beyond making everyone feel welcome, and making sure everyone was safe as we sailed the harbor. This is a must see attraction for who visit NYC, and for those who live there! | ||||||

| I booked the day-time sail on the schooner with my boyfriend and his relatives that were visiting from England. It was the first time that any of us in the group had been out on a sail boat. I can say with certainty that this was one of the best experiences that I any of us have had in a very long time!! The crew was excellent and super friendly! They offered 3 rounds of beer, soda or water, which was a very nice accomodation. Over all we just had a fantastic time and created a memory that will certainly last forever! | ||||||

| I would describe the boat ride as fun! The captain and her two helpers were so pleasant, always making sure everyone was comfortable and informed about the river and the boat. It was a very relaxed atmosphere as well. If you are interested, definitely take a look at the website! | ||||||

bad wine and tapas

| Enjoyed the sail and staff, but the tapas were awful--my aunt got sick from the salmon--it tasted awful. The sparkling wine was not our thing, so we were not wild about that. But seriously, do somethng about the tapas and offer more of them and less rounds of wine. Other than that the boat and staff were wonderful. | ||||||

| Wine and tapas service a little disorganized. A large group had a birthday party on board. This activity interupted the info being provided by the wine expert. | ||||||

| My friends and I went sailing on a sunny afternoon for a bachelorette party, and we had a blast. The scenery was great, and the crew was very friendly. All in all, it was a perfect daytime activity. I wish we had gotten our third round of beers, though! | ||||||

| Perfect weather made it the perfect day for the sail. Only complaint, tip bags being held in front of us as the crew said good-bye. our group had no drinks and therefore no special service - but we felt embarrassed into tipping. Tips should be for service provided..w/ over 40 people on the sail, and most of them ordering beverages, etc...we would not have felt impelled to tip [we ordered nothing and never saw the crew] but we tipped...it was hard not too... That's it. | ||||||

| The sailing trip was quite enjoyable but a little long. Two hours was just a bit more than we were looking for, especially in the heat. That said, Captin J was a pleasure as was his crew. They were polite and helpful yet unobtrusive. The captin went out of his way to ensure we were able to add an additional passanger at the last moment, which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this or another trip to others. | ||||||

| The staff was friendly, informative and helpful and also provided good safety info. The weather was great and sailing smooth. As a native New Yorker it was a nice treat to see the city from another prospective. Much thanks to the Captain and crew, we will return again with friends! Sincerely, Noreen Carducci | ||||||

| From the ticket taker to the Capt & crew this was a trip well worth the ticket investment. It was our 39 wedding anniv and a surprise for my wife.We both enjoyed the time spent with the crew ,the weather was perfect ,and we look forward to doing it again, the only regret was the trip wasn't longer. | We had very little time in New York City but wanted to "see the sights" as best possible. We booked the sailboat tour online and kept our fingers crossed for good weather. It couldn't have been better! We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon sailing the Hudson River . The captain - wish I could remember her name (sorry) - was very nice and well-informed. Her two crewmates were equally friendly and offered us a couple of cold drinks during our tour. Although the sailboat was full, the crew members were happy to answer all the questions thrown at them and seemed to really be enjoying themselves as well. The captain even let my husband steer the boat for a couple of minutes which just thrilled him! This is really a great adventure that you should take advantage of while in New York City. | ||||||

"The Fine Food and Scenic Sights Cruise"

| Initially, I was considering taking the helicopter flight above the NYC skyline. However, after discovering the cost.....not including security fees, etc for a 12 minute flight, I changed my mind. I then began to explore a sight seeing cruise. I compared this cruise company with others offered in the NYC area. After much research, I felt that the "Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise" was the best value for my tourist dollar. I was delighted with my choice as were the five others who accompanied me. From the moment we boarded this beautifully restored wooden vessel, to the moment we departed.....was pure enjoyment and relaxation. The brunch was exceptional, pastries, fresh Belgian waffles, bagels, lox.....to name a portion of the first course. Then came bacon and sausage and a luncheon omelet, followed by a beautiful spiral ham cooked to perfection. Then a nicely presented fresh fruit platter with my personal favorites, Mount Rainier cherries and large ripe strawberries. By the time the fruit platter was served, I was pleasantly satisfied, however, a tray of flavorful cookies followed of which I did not sample. This cruise rightly should have been called an "all you care to eat" cruise! Now onto the sights, this cruise circled the entire island of Manhattan, the captain, or navigator of the vessel, pointed out scenic highlights, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc. He did a good job of this, but I would have appreciated a little more information/background on the sights. I opened a copy of a book about Manhattan that was on display in the stateroom , this supplimented my desire to know more. The staff/crew were all very helpful and polite....a chef was stationed downstairs in the galley carefully preparing the food. The restrooms were spotless. All in all, I would highly recommend this lovely, relaxing alternative to the noisey tour buses in the city and the other cruise companies. This was indeed the highlight of my visit to the city. Thank you! | ||||||

| Native New Yorkers who were looking for something new to do, I treated my husband to the luxury brunch cruise. It was exciting, informative and the brunch was good, too. Didn't hurt that we had a perfectly sunny day. We liked it so much, we are definitely going to check out some of the other rides offered, and I have already recommended it to some friends. | ||||||

| This was our fourth time doing this and our first for the evening sail. It was great as were our other trips but we particularly liked the evening sail. The boat is relaxing and the crew is fantastic. Julien took care of everything in a relaxing but extremely competent way. The drinks were great too. | ||||||
