Classic Harbor Line

We happened to be lucky to experience a wonderful Champagne Sunset Cruise on Yacht Manhattan, and we believe that the very reason of our wonderful experience is the hearts of the Crew, which gave us a pleasant service and ride on the yacht. We went on the day sailing trip. Everything was perfect - the boat was extremely clean and the crew was amazing. I would have liked a little description of the sights we were seeing (pointing out just the important buildings) but I didn't mind the lack of it as well because it didnt feel "touristy" at all and I loved that. The captain was Julian and he was simply amazing - we loved his enthusiam . The crew was very friendly pointed out some local hot spots. Overall, I think this was the best $40 I spent in NYC :).

I have been on the Adirondack numerous times in the 8 years that I have lived in NYC. On this particualr trip, the staff and captain were exceptionally friendly and accomodating and I loved that we actually sailed! I've tried a competitor and they are more apt to keep the boat level with the water if you know what I mean. One suggestion from an administrative point of view, however, is that another friend tried to join us last minute and was told that by Zerve that it was full when, in fact, the person at check-in said that there was plenty of space. It was too late at that point for our friend to join us. Unfortunate, and this needs to be corrected.

I have sailed on the Adirondack and the Imagine several times. Each occasion was a great event. The captain(s) and the crew(s) appear to be very competent and work very hard to ensure that all passengers enjoy the sail. (This past Sunday our captain was Julian, and our party of four felt very confident in his ability to afford us a safe, happy sailing experience.) I feel that if more people knew about the sailing vessels from the Chelsea Piers, more passengers would be sailing. I initially found out about the ships from my own personal searching on the Internet for sailboats from Manhattan. I have never seen an advertisement describing the sails; more publicity would be valuable.

If you cannot make it to the Hamptons or to the Jersey Shore or any other seaside getaway, this boat tour gives you a 2 hour break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The day time sales are fabulous, you get to see a different perspective of the BIG city without all of the noise and crowds.

This was definitely the highlight of our week in New York City. The crew and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly (they even rescheduled us free of charge when it turned out I had inadvertently booked our sail for a previous day.) They patiently answered all of our questions about the boat and area and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about their work. This is a great way to get a break from the incessant pace and experience a completely different side of the city.

The sailboat was beautiful- and big- first time on one- when those sails went up- and the wind took hold- what a feeling and experience- my biggest complaint- the 2 hours went way to quick!!!!- I wanted more. DB

My daughter and I thought that the brunch cruise was the absolute best way to see the city! When you are at the Empire State Building and Statute of Liberty, you can't really see them, but when you are on the boat, your vantage point for viewing is amazing. You get to see the skyline all around the island and the captain and crew were fabulous and very informative. I have friends that are coming next week and others coming in mid July and have told them the Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise is a must!!!

wonderful crew.. loved the captain.. smooth and easy process to board... smooth sailing with awesome city views.. will do this again and again... especially for out of town friends

My boyfriend and I went on the sunset sail last week and really enjoyed our time. The atmosphere is great, outside on the boat with great views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. Being from the area, it was nice viewing NYC from a different perspective other than the streets. The crew is very friendly and serve 3 generous rounds of either beer, wine, or champagne. Although they don't serve food along with the drinks, there is no restrictions on bringing outside food on so we bought some snacks beforehand. My boyfriend and I are already thinking of going on the sail again, next time with a whole group of our friends. The sail is definitely worth your time and money and I highly recommend it!

The Schooner sail is a tremendously unique way to see manhattan from the water !! This was my 8th time sailing with Adirondack and everytime I have invited friends they were thrilled! It is a little piece of magic in our busy lives.

Any chance to escape the concrete jungle of NYC and get out on the water is always recommended. The boat was beautiful, the captain was entertaining, and the scenery and overall experience was relaxing and refreshing. The captain turned the boat a few times so both sides were exposed to the same views. One minor caveat: for the most part you have to remain seated on a hard surface for two hours. BTW we were told we'd get three drinks but were only offered two. Maybe I should have asked for a third but the crew seemed busy handling the boat. They should have stated they would serve a couple of drinks, instead of specifying three. And make sure you have sunscreen or at least sunglasses and a hat. Tom

My friend recommend this sailing as a good date activity. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the crew and the unique experience of the sailing. It was far more enjoyable than one of the more traditional New York Harbor cruises. I would certainly recommend this sailing to others, and I plan to visit again for other (perhaps nighttime) cruises.
