Classic Harbor Line

This was a really great tour around Manhattan. The best part was the wonderful and informative "architecture" talk as we went round given by an architect. The day was dark and rainy, some fog and yet the trip was still lovely ! Highly recommend it. The boat was impeccable, extremely comfortable, great staff as well as snacks and coffee etc. Easy to get to, and the specific speaker we had was really good (there are several that rotate through the scheduled trips) we had lived in Manhattan for 20 years, never did something like this and it was such a good way to start a recent visit.

I saw a review of the boat tour in a recent NY Times article, but I didn't think the tour was as good as mentioned in the article. I probably wouldn't take the tour again, as I don't think it was worth the money, and I'm not sure I would recommend it to friends.

I found the experience very informative and interesting. The brochure could use improvement with information about the building and bridges included and the architechts names and dates. It is not possible to absorb and remember the details given by the narator. Thoughly enjoyed the trip and was pleasantly surprised with the extent and the varietly of delicious cheese, fruit nuts and breads. Thank you.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. Crew was very courteous. "Snacks" and drinks were generous. Views undeniably gorgeous. Perfect cruise around the island for those who enjoy architecture and history and current events in Manhattan. Would recommend it highly.

A wonderful afternoon's adventure on the water. Informative with regard to both well known and little known details of the NYC cityscape and waterways. Staff was pleasant and efficient. The Manhattan provided a comfortable ride and relaxing setting.

Beautiful ship, great crew on the Hudson sunset sail. Open Bar was nice as well. They actually had several craft, nicer beers, as opposed to the cheap stuff. Good wine and champagne as well. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting NYC.

The intrique of the boat is what drew us to this particular cruise. Not many people. PIlot gave only brief explanations, which left more quiet, personal time. Length and sights were great. Left on time and returned same. Good value. My only complaint is that literature states that the times of the cruises vary with the time of sunset, which was also a good selling point. However, ours was scheduled after sun had gone down - I noticed it was scheduled to embark earlier both the day before and after. Highly recommend.

My husband and I loved the Classic Harbor statue cruise. At 90 minutes, it was the perfect amount of time to see beautiful views, the statue of liberty and three bridges. I enjoyed the bits of tour narration and don't feel they were overpowering. The captain and crew were beyond friendly and helpful. The tour was a nice, personal experience. We were not crowded on a tourist type boat and the vessel itself was really beautiful. Who can complain when there is champagne? I would definitely do it again.

My partner and I were looking for a brief (2-3 hour) way to see the Statue of Liberty, without fuss or bother - this cruise was perfect! The boat is clean, attractive, and nicely decorated (for autumn, right now). The crew is polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Not only did we get great views of the Statue, but we also had stunning views of the City Skyline, as well as bridges and other landmarks, with ace narration the whole time (with perfect acoustics - an added treat). There were indoor and outdoor seating options....plenty of opportunities for photos.....free first round of champagne/drinks.....and an altogether lovely way to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful tour, filled with valuable information, spectacular views, great service and snacks.

We took our tour on a crisp, cloud-free day. Our architect guide knew the history, the buildings, and the environmental and economic issues that created the landmarks around Manhattan....and I mean around. We circumnavigated the island, conclusively proving it is only connected to the surrounding land by bridges. This was the best city tour we ever have taken.

Loved the tour- the boat was cozy and not too crowded, and our architect guide was knowledgeable and very nice.

This was a great way to see the city from a different perspective. It was like the Circle Line tour on steroids. The trip was extremely comfortable, and the narrator - who was a professor at Parsons School of Design - was very well informed and very interesting, We were also blessed with a perfectly clear, sunny day. The cruise was one of the major highlights of our week in New York City.

This type of tour (with knowledgable commentary) has been done in Chicago for a while, so it was nice to have it available in NYC.

Our guide was amazing with so much knowledge of NY - he was from the American Institute of Architects NY chapter - a fabulous afternoon cruise that took us through the Hudson, East and Harlem rivers - We were so close to Lady liberty I could almost touch her - We cruised under 17 bridges including the famous Brooklyn Bridge - We saw the World Trade Center being built - Yankee Stadium - before our departure we were given a fantastic map highlighting all the historic site we were going to see on our trip - A fantastic souvneir
