| After having such a horrific day in traffic on I-95 I could have not ask for a better way to end my evening, than on the Schooner Adirondack! Thank you so much for such a splendid serene evening. It was a wonderful experience to say the least. As for the crew they were WONDERFUL, I have bragged since the activity to eveyone that has asked, as well as recommend to all. THANK YOU SO MUCH IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. | ||||||

| We were hoping for a romantic get-away from the city. The views over Manhattan, New Jersey and Statue of Liberty were nice, although we felt that they would have been even nicer from the other side of the boat - so be sure to pick the correct side of the boat! It is stated on the website that alcohol is not the main attraction during the sail, but we felt that it played a big part. It was a noisy booze cruise atmosphere, not a romantic one. You should not expect to take pictures because of the waves/darkness and because you cannot switch sides even for a minute. The staff was very helpful and courteous. | ||||||

Highlight of Trip

| The sail was definitley worth it. It was by far the best way to see the Statue of Liberty. It was a nice time to sit, relax and enjoy after the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The sunset was amazing to watch as it set right behind Lady Liberty. Note: Bring some snacks/picnic (nice cheese and fruit etc..) it will make the sail that much more special. | ||||||

| The Schooner tooled around New York Harbor, but did not venture towards or under the Brooklyn Bridge. This is a mistake. Also, it could have ventured under or near the Verrazano Bridge. For $100 per couple , it was a bust. The crew was nice enough, and they supplied my wife with, perhaps, too much champagne, but all told, the crew was fine. | ||||||

| This is our first time with the sail boat (we had been out on the Adirondak), and everyone in our party loved it. It's a great way to show first time guests to New York, a special perspective of the Manhattan landscape. Really, really nice crew! | ||||||

Fantastic Experience

| The ship Manhattan is a beautifully appointed 1920s yacht, retrofited for tours of the NY harbour. The captain and crew were very friendly, and provided interesting commentary throughout the tour. The champagne flowed, or you could have a complimentary beer or wine. The trip was a fantastic experience for us. We had a crystal blue day, and squeezed our group onto the bow of the ship. The tour was spectacular. The Waterfalls, as an art installation is amazing, definitely worth seeing. The only way to experience them fully is by boat! This tour was great. My only complaints: the quality of the bubbly was poor :(, and they do not recycle! With the amount of bottles, both plastic and glass, that they go through each trip, they should make recycling a priority! | ||||||

| This was a birthday surprise for a date and it was immensely enjoyed, as is anything boat-related. I enjoyed that aspect but also wanted a great view of the four waterfall structures, which we most definitely got. The afternoon was sunny and not too hot and it was a great way to spend the day. Heartily recommended and worth every penny. | ||||||

| The schooners are lovely, the crew is friendly, and helpful, and NYC Harbor is one of the great sights of the world, especially at night. However, since most of the passengers are tourists, it would be nice if they made some effort to point out the local sights. Also, they spent some considerable time just sitting in the water. Of course the location and view were fantastic, but it still would have been nice if they spent more time sailing around. My wife of 37 years, and I found it a very romantic setting for a date. Would definitely recommend, especially after dark. | ||||||

| We had a great time ! The sailboat was awesome, the weather was not good when we arrived in NYC, but the skies cleared and by the time the boat was ready to sail, the sun was shining. All of us had an excellent time, and I would recommend this activity to everyone. I liked it so much that I am thinking of doing it again ! | ||||||

A Lovely Day for a Motor-sail

| If you want to experience NYC tourism from a unique perspective, something a little different than a bus with a yakking guide, then this is a sure bet. The boat is an all wooden craft in the classic style and its two masts (not a yawl, y'all) put up an impressive spread of canvas. For a while it actually felt like sailing except for a minor detail; the motor was never turned off. Alas, I ignored the vibration drumming the hull and focused on enjoying the experience anyway. After all, the crew was friendly, it was a fine day with a decent wind, Adirondack heeled nicely, and each tack was well executed. For a geezer with no expectations, it was well worth it. | ||||||

| It really doesn't get much better than sipping chilled white wine while gently sailing by the manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty as the sun goes down and city lights come up. The weather wasn't great the evening we sailed, heavy cloud obscured the sunset, and it was still a wonderful and memorable experience. The captain and crew were extremely friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended if you are looking for something off the usual tourist track or if you're looking to impress a date! | ||||||
