Great view, great crew, and the other guests were pleasant as well. Views were spectacular, the sunset was beautiful. It was my boyfriend's first time on a sail boat and he loved it. He asked if we could do it again some time this summer. Not crowded, and not at all like the giant tourism boats that go through the harbor.
Will definitely be doing this again. |

This tour was an excellent way to spend an afternoon. The talk from John from the AIA was informative and pitched at a good level to hold our attention without being too detailed. The team were friendly and efficient and the boat very comfortable. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable trip which we wouldn't hesitate to recommend. |

Great boat tour on a lovely 1920's motor launch which circumvented the entire island of Manhattan. The guide talked us through the architecture and the history of this great City. It is not to be missed. |

This was by far the best boat trip we have been on. I took my wife on the Adirondack for her birthday and it was an amazing day. The Captain and his crew were so pleasant and kind. A definite relaxing and enjoyable day trip for family, friends and lovers. |

Everyone associated with the cruise couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The guide was a font of information and his running commentary sounded spontaneous rather than "canned". The beverages and treats offered were of a high quality. I have already recommended the cruise to several people. |

Our guide (whose name unfortunately we never got) was co-chair of AIA-NY's history committee. He talked nonstop for 2.5 hours, giving us names, dates, a bit of architectural explanation. We're non-architects, and a just a bit more knowledge might have helped us interpret all that information better. But it was nonetheless fascinating to learn about the goals and contexts of so much NYC architecture. It certainly helped that it was a gorgeous day, clear, high 60s (F) temperature. My wife was born in NYC but left when she was an adolescent. We've both been there many times as adults, but this was our first round-Manhattan tour. Highly recommend if the weather is good for viewing. |

Our AIA guide was a most knowledgable resource, who barely paused with his lively commentary and descriptions of Manhattan and its buildings and architects. He was happy to answer questions. The boat was comfortable. The crew was very pleasant. The refreshments were delicious. This cruise was all I had hoped it to be. We were very fortunate to enjoy a glorious weather day and clear skies and views. |

We really enjoyed our trip around Manhattan. It was entertaining , fun and informative. Great for architects and those who love architecture. You will see the city from a totally different perspective. A fun, non-touristy insider experience. Loved it! |

The ship was handsome and comfortable, with great visibility and a staff that was friendly and well-trained. The architect who accompanied us was excellent.....incredibly well-informed, patient, and with a good sense of humor. We happened to have fine weather, so visibility was great and we were able to see "sides" of the city we'd never seen before. It was also a remarkable opportunity to actually see the "island" of Manhattan and how each of the neighborhoods of New York connected with each other. Sailing around the island, out of the noise and congestion of vehicular traffic, it was possible to imagine what the early settlers saw as they made their way across the land mass and up and down its stream and rivers. It was a remarkable day! |

I'm living in Sweden and was visiting my boyfriend who is born and raised in Manhatten. We went on a two hour sail with the Adirondack. It was a very nice experience for both of us, since the perspective from the Hudson is not something that even New Yorkers usually see. The crew was very nice and helpful in every way and happy to share their experiences and stories with us. All in all I can really recommend this way of seeing Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. |

My sisters gave my husband and I a gift certificate fr the cruise at Xmass. We choose this one as it was my birthday. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The cruise around Manhatten was perfect and the wine and cheese and lectures were absolutely superb. |

I decided to book a sail for my boyfriend's surprise birthday and invited a dozen friends to join. I am so happy I decided to go on the sail rather than do the typical dinner out. EVERYONE told me they loved the sail and that it was a great birthday idea. My boyfriend later described the experience as epic. Basically, 40 or so dollars buys you a trip on a boat, amazing views of the city, and free drinks. ABSOLUTELY worth the $40. The only detail that would have made it more amazing is if there were fewer people on the boat, but it was a beautiful spring day on Saturday so I can't say that I was really surprised. |
