We were a party of 8 adults and 2 children. The weather was perfect, the crew delightful and helpful and the ship was a beautiful sloop. I would highly recommend taking this wonderful sail. It was great!! |

Overally, this was a great experience... The captain and crew members were very friendly and knowledgable. Beverages/Beers/Champagne were served. Keep in mind that this is a sail boat; if you're a person who gets sea sick easily, I would be cautious, probably take some motion sickness pill before sailing. When the captain turned off the engine, the boat rocked more than when it's moving with the engine turned on. I would recommend, positive experience. |

Would definitely recommend the city lights tour - weather was perfect, skyline was beautiful and we were all glad to not be on the loud motor boats that were going by for other tours. Drinks were offered throughout the sail, crew was friendly and helpful. One thing to note - this is not a guided/narrated tour - for first time visitors it might be more interesting to have a guide point out the high points (islands, buildings, history, etc.). Overall, a great time and very reasonably priced. |

We sailed with 3 adults and 5 children age 10 - 17 yrs. on the sunset cruise. It was a perfect evening! The crew was great - very personable and a lot of fun - and the boat was in great shape. I have lived in the NYC area for a long time and just discovered the sunset sail - what a fantastic way to see the Statue and the lower Manhattan skyline lit up at night. I would hightly recommend it for entertaining out of town guests or just with your family.
I have been on a competing company's boat and this experience was better - mainly because of the crew. Also, it felt like there weren't as many people crowded to together. Go! Enjoy! Don't miss it!! |

A very special, really remarkable getaway from the bustle of New York City. So interesting to see the City, New Jersey, the Statue of Liberty and other islands, all the bridges from the Hudson. It helped that the weather was warm, with plenty of gentle breeze and the skies clear.
Crew were upbeat and caring; they took good care of their guests.
We'd definitely recommend the Adirondack to others and plan return trip on our annual Summer trip to the City. |

I took my boyfriend on the Sunset Sail for his 25th birthday and I would recommend this to everyone. Being from the New York area, it was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Once on the water, every care and worry you have is immediately replaced by a total feeling of peace and relaxation. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and very very friendly. By no means was this a booze cruise, however, an endless amount of alcohol was available if wanted. My boyfriend can't stop talking about the cruise. Highly recommended!! |

A gorgeous sunset sail down the Hudson river to the front of the Stature of Liberty. A great way to see the downtown skyline while getting off your feet. Crew is very accomodating and sets a relaxed atmosphere for the entire ride. Highly recommend reservations at a resturaunt off the Chelsea Piers or near the water after your trip. |

This is the fourth time I've been on the Adarondack. Every time there's been a different crew and every time the crew has been friendly, helpful and done much to make it a pleasant experience. It's a beautiful boat that feels wonderful under sail. If I have any reservation at all it's that it seems as if it's felt that it's necessary to always sail past ther Statue of Liberty. Twice I've been in a situation where, because of this, when there hasn't been enough wind the boat has had to return under power. My main reason to take these excursions is to go "sailing" and not be on a motorized vessel. I would much rather skip the statue and do as much real sailing as is possible. I realize, of course, that I'm not a tourist and that this may not be the popular reaction but I feel that there are any number of excursions to and around the Statue of Liberty and it would be nice to be able to take one that is truly just for the experience of the sail. |

We had originally scheduled our sail for July, but thundershowers forced us to resched. We picked Aug 12 and couldn't have had better weather or more perfect sailing conditions. The crew were delightful, as we were sitting near the captain and got a bit of history about the NJ coastline, Governor's Island, etc. We brought snacks on board as they serve soda, water & canned beer. Since conditions were so great, we sailed all the way around Gov Island and got extremely close to the Statue of Liberty. Was able to snap some phenomenal photos of lower Manhattan and Lady Liberty. The captain made optimal use of our sailing time and this trip was overall an extraordinary delight. |

What a great day to escape the hustle of the city and yet be able to view the island from an entirely new angle. The captain and crew were very polite , helpful, and accomodating. The boat is well maintained, very stable and secure. It was a great feeling to hear the engines shut down and to heel-over under quiet sail power.
Now, if you could only guarantee 20- 25 knots wind speed.
Thanks, I will be back! |

I had such a great time on Sunday. This was my first trip on the Adirondack and would tell everyone to go take this trip as soon as possible. The Captain was gracious, informative and charming as was the exuberant staff. It was just the perfect amount of time and my only suggestion would be too remind people to pack sunscreen (we did!). For me it was a perfect day, it made me feel like I was on a real vacation. Thanks again!
