Exceptionally good
Sun, Oct 4  10:45 AM kenprain Male 70+ International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This trip was the highlight of 8 days spent as tourists in New York. It was interesting, friendly and well-organised, the boat was smart and comfortable and the brunch was excellent. As it happened, the weather was perfect too, but even without that we would still have rated the experience as outstandingly good.

Fantastic Cruise

My husband and I went to New York with our friends to celebrate our 50th birthdays. After a day of touring the city and walking all over, we went to our scheduled tour. What a perfect end to our day. We went on the 8:30 cruise. The staff was so nice and fun. The view of the Statue of Liberty from the water at night was spectacular. We all commented on how wonderful it was and so relaxing.

Lots of fun!

Definitely a worthwhile activity. Great views of the sunset and the Manhattan skyline as well as the Statue of Liberty. We went on a 6:00pm sail and were able to catch both the sunset as well as views of the city lights. Might be a good idea to bring some food with you so you can have a picnic on board, my group brought sandwiches to eat with our complimentary beverages on board =). Definitely lots of fun and highly recommended!

My wife and I did the two hour sail on Saturday from 4:30-6:30. It's a nice trip and a good time of the day to go - you see a lot more. Excellent choice of beer and wine and very good service. Don't go on circle line, go on this one. Mike

Highlight of our Trip
Fri, Oct 2  8:30 PM Maverick3 Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Our Captain, Tom, told us the wind was strong and that we would have a "spirited" ride, and that's exactly what it was. While our crew, Chad and Stu, made us comfortable and provided us with beverages, we sailed down the Hudson, out past the Statue of Liberty, and around the tip of Manhattan to the Brooklyn Bridge. Tom was obviously a skilled sailor, who you could tell loved his job. The entire crew were friendly and helpful and pointed out all the landmarks on our trip. They also helped a couple of landbound Canadians learn a few things about sailing. We had a full itinerary on our New York vacation, but this was definitely the highlight! We will definitely return to New York, and a cruise on the Adirondack will be the first thing I'l book. Cheers!

Fantastic way to see the city lights
Fri, Oct 2  8:30 PM ellenfenton Female 20-29 International Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
Went on the City Lights sail our last night in New York - It was quite a windy evening and there were only four of us due to go out - the cap'n did try to suggest it might be a bit very windy and quite choppy (think they might have hoped to finish early....?!) but as we were all keen we went anyway and had the schooner and the crew to ourselves. The boat was beautiful, the view was amazing, the crew were very hospitable and we had a brilliant time. A fantastic way to finish up the trip and an exciting and memorable sail. Thank you crew!

This is always a stunning trip. I've done it several times with friends from abroad. The most peaceful, intimate, impressive & friendly boat trip in NY. Not to mention the views! A must-do for any tourist.

I loved the experience. The crew was interesting and the ride was excellent. We did not have many passengers and my daughter had the opportunity to assist the captain on steering the sailboat. I enjoyed the speed and the sights.

Didn't get to go on the sail
Fri, Oct 2  1:00 PM Nightowlrn Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
Unfortunately, I never got to go on the sail. My flight into NYC got canceled, and the flight that I was rescheduled on did not arrive until after my 1pm reserved sail time. Despite the clearly indicated "no refund, no reschedule" policy, I emailed them to see if I could get moved to the 3pm sail, but never heard back. I would probably try to schedule this again on another trip, but next time, I wouldn't schedule it for my day of arrival in case there are travel delays again.

Great trip. The crew was excellent The tour was superb and the captain asked the group if we wanted him to give us a description of what we were seeing and everyone agreed and it made it that much more enjoyable. Would recommend it to anyone visiting or that just wants to see the sights beautiful tour.

Relaxing although rug up
Thu, Oct 1  4:30 PM nickdodd Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Both my wife and I went on the two hour cruise up the Hudson river. I would find it hard to believe there would be a better way to see the shore line of New York and Jersey City. The highlight was how close we could get to the Statue of Liberty for photos etc. It was really relaxing sailing along the river without an engine or a hundred and one tourists like you will get on the Statton Island Ferry. We did however book the 4:30 cruise as sunset is around 6:00pm in New York in October. We returned at approx 6:30 and it was pretty much dark by the time we had gotten off the ship. One word of warning though, RUG UP !!, the wind can get mighty cold in the afternoon and warm clothing is recommended.
