The Schooner Adirondack II, sister ship to the award-winning Adirondack in New York City, is one of the fastest and most comfortable resident sail vessels in the Newport harbor. With ample deck space and seating for up to 60, she was built and designed for taking groups of people on spectacular sightsailing adventures.
The Adirondack II is operated by Coast Guard Certifed Captains and extremely friendly and talented crew. Known for their amazing hospitality, our staff is all professionally trained and experienced on sailing our vessel well and safely. They're also very knowledgeable about all the sights you will enjoy.

12 Meter Charters and Schooner Adirondack II have teamed up to provide you with the experience of a lifetime!
Newport, RI has been home to the legendary America’s Cup Races for over 50 years! Enjoy the beautiful sites of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay while participating aboard an America's Cup contender or observing the race from the Adirondack II!
Aboard the 70 foot America’s Cup racing yacht you will:
- Receive coaching by our professional and friendly crew for a “hands on” sailing experience - no prior experience necessary!
- Join us on the racecourse where you can help us win the race by hoisting the sails, grinding a winch, or trimming a sail. Or just sit back and enjoy the action - participation is not required!
Aboard the 80 foot, traditional schooner spectator yacht you can:
- Experience all of the America’s Cup action with a front row seat, while enjoying the grace and comfort of Adirondack II
- See the race from start to finish. Be right there as the boats set sail, cheer on the competitors, and to help call the winners!
- Learn about the history of the America’s Cup, our yachts and all of Newport’s famous sights from our experienced crew
Which team will sail their America’s Cup 12 Meter to victory? At the end of our America’s Racing Experience everyone is a winner! At the conclusion of the race, teams return to Bowen’s Wharf in the heart of downtown Newport where the “dock talk” begins – join in congratulating and heckling the competitors!
