It's great to get out on the Bay in this beautiful schooner. The crew was wonderful and knowledgeable about various landmarks along the route. It was interesting to hear the crew members' stories of their travels and lifestyles, watch them work and feel the wind pushing its way past me into the sails. There are refreshments available on the boat and small bottles of water are free. This ride out to the ocean, zig zagging through the Bay from Newport harbor, is a rejuvenating 1.5 hours spent well.

VERY WINDY and SCARY!!!

The wind was extreme and it wasnt until 3/4th of the trip until they decided to put down one of the sails to ease ride. We were literally holding on to the middle of the boat and getting sprayed with water. There were 1st time sailers in my group who I am afraid will never sail again because of this experience.

My wife and I spent the day of our anniversary in Newport and decided to try an afternoon harbor cruise on the Adirondack II. The weather was perfect for a schooner cruise, the crew was extremely accommodating, and we had a very congenial group of people on board from various parts of the country. We loved the experience, and topped it off with a wonderful dinner at Scales and Shells.

Wonderful experience...would highly recommend it. A great way to enjoy Newport. Friendly and accomodating staff. They even switched my sail time last minute without any problems. Would love to do the sunset sail next time!

Could not hear the skipper

The staff and the sail itself were fine but we and the six people next to us could not hear the skipper at all so the commentary, which would have been interesting , was missing.
