A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

It was a picture perfect day that I had wished could have lasted longer aboard the Adirondack II. The crew was friendly, the captain very informative - and with Newport as the backdrop - what more could you want - OH YEA - dollar wine and beer. I would HIGHLY reccommend it to any types of people. We have a 4 year old and he just loves it. We've been on it twice and will continue to go on it every year . Its very relaxing, invigorating and one of the highlights of our summer. See you guys next year!!!

A most enjoyable sail in beautiful Newport, RI

The crew of the Adirondack II was very accomodating and personable. The captain was quite informative. Beer, wine, and champagne were only a dollar a glass! It is the most relaxing and enjoyable hour and a half sail. It is one of the best ways to appreciate Newport, RI. If I ever remarry, I would contemplate having my wedding on the Adirondack II.....

Booze Cruise

We departed for the sunset cruise in July 2007. The sailboat holds about 60 people. There was one group of about 25. They were very load and had clearly been drinking prior to boarding. They were all drinking. One guy was taking off his shirt to the amusement of the others in the group while others would shout things like "BOOZE CRUISE", etc. The staff was professional but they did not discuss any of the sights. The load group probably spoiled it for the rest aboard.

Family of 4 Cruised - Pros' and Con's
Mon, Jul 2, 07   3:00 PM emily2000 Male 30-39 Local Family With Children
:-) Pro's - We loved the cruise. The kids were able to drive the boat. It was a highlight for them. There were only 5 kids on board. It left promptly, be there on time. The crew were very helpful and courtious. Water was complimentary. Cons - We couldn't hear the captain. We missed a lot of history and info. We sat in the middle of the boat. Be sure to get there eaIrly and sit very close to the captain. The boat did not have any music on board. If you can't hear the captain anyway some music would have been enjoyable. :-)

Had a really great time!!

This was a very nice trip, we really enjoyed the ride. We took a trip during the tall ships festival, which made it even more interesting to see the harbor. I recommend sitting close to the Captain steering the ship, he was very knowledgeable and had some really interesting facts about the area and attractions. It does cost a decent amount for just an hour and a half, but for someone visiting or just a nice time to sail around it is defiantly worth it.

More information about Newport and the sites

Generally it was a very enjoyable sail. It would have been nice if the crew described the sites and surroundings of Newport as we sailed past them. Thanks
