Beautiful afternoon sail

After a rainy, windy morning in Newport, we anxiously waited for the weather to break. As the sun came out and the wind turned into a warm breeze, we boarded the Adirondack feeling hot and sticky. As soon as the motor of our ship was turned off and the third sail hoisted, we slid into the beautiful Naragansett Bay soundlessly. The breeze was refreshing and the sail absolutely perfect. The too short trip was interesting and relaxing. It was one of the hightlghts of our visit to Newport.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

It was a picture perfect day that I had wished could have lasted longer aboard the Adirondack II. The crew was friendly, the captain very informative - and with Newport as the backdrop - what more could you want - OH YEA - dollar wine and beer. I would HIGHLY reccommend it to any types of people. We have a 4 year old and he just loves it. We've been on it twice and will continue to go on it every year . Its very relaxing, invigorating and one of the highlights of our summer. See you guys next year!!!

A most enjoyable sail in beautiful Newport, RI

The crew of the Adirondack II was very accomodating and personable. The captain was quite informative. Beer, wine, and champagne were only a dollar a glass! It is the most relaxing and enjoyable hour and a half sail. It is one of the best ways to appreciate Newport, RI. If I ever remarry, I would contemplate having my wedding on the Adirondack II.....

Booze Cruise

We departed for the sunset cruise in July 2007. The sailboat holds about 60 people. There was one group of about 25. They were very load and had clearly been drinking prior to boarding. They were all drinking. One guy was taking off his shirt to the amusement of the others in the group while others would shout things like "BOOZE CRUISE", etc. The staff was professional but they did not discuss any of the sights. The load group probably spoiled it for the rest aboard.

I took a group of 17 team members on the sail as part of our team bonding activities. The crew was very accomodating, the sail beautiful, and the level of customer service superb.

Great Family Activity

We went for a 1 1/2 hour daytime sail on the Schooner Adirondack II. We have three boys - ages 8, 6 & 3. My husband has done a lot of sailing in the past and wanted to introduce our boys to sailing. We all enjoyed it very much. It was great taking in all of the sights, including mansions in the distance. The crew was very professional and informative. They also joked with us and and made it a fun trip. Bottled water was included and tasted great in the hot sun. We would do it again if we were visiting Newport.
