Classic Afternoon Schooner Sail

Extremely capable, informative & friendly captain & crew. GREAT FUN!

I recently took my Dad on the Schooner Adirondak II for his birthday. Having been on this trip multiple times (including the week before with a friend) in the past, I was not disappointed. It's a wonderfully relaxing ride with a knowledgeable captain and crew. I've been on this boat during a variety of weather situations (very little wind, a passing rain shower-which was refreshing-, and great wind) and the trip never disappoints! I look forward to some more sailing next summer!

I took my Dad on this trip for his birthday last year and we enjoyed it so much that we went again this year. Last year we took the 1:00 sail, this year we took the 11 a.m. sail. I would reccommend the afternoon sail times, there is better wind. The early sail this year didn't have much wind and we were at a standstill at some points. The trip is quite relaxing and enjoyable but if you want a good ride, go for the afternoon trips when the winds are better! We will happily do this again!

Our cruise on the Adirondack II was the best. The Captain and Crew were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We will be sailing with them again fore sure !!!!!! The vessel was safe, clean and provided a very smooth ride. An excellent time was had by all in my party including my wife who in not a big boat person. She remarked how serene it was and comfortable she was. Enjoy Tj

Went on 3PM sail. Can't say enough good about it. Great ship, attentive and informative captain and crew, and a good brisk wind. Also had the opportunity to take the helm which was a real treat. Newport harbour, great views, good company, and $1 beer, wine and soft drinks, it doesn't get any better. I highly recommend it and plan on doing it again (Guys & kids - it beats watching mom shopping any day)

The weather was perfect for our 1:00 sail. There were seven in our party and everyone had a great time. The staff and crew were extremely friendly and helpful, and the cpatain was most informative along the way. The wine and beer made the trip even more enjoyable. We were disappointed that the time passed so quickly. We could only have enjoyed it more if we could have extended our sail.

I would highly recommend this sail. The captain was witty and very informative. I went two days in a row! Crew was extremely accommodating and beverage service was fantastic.

We went out on the Schooner Adirondack for the 1:00 sail. The bay was gorgeous, the boat was very clean, the staff were polite & helpful, and Coronas were a dollar!You can't ask for much more! They have great knowledge of the historic sights you will see, however it is not a narrative tour, you need to ask questions. I suggest asking questions because it really added to the experience. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Newport!

Staff was very professional, made everyone feel safe and the sailing was thoroughly enjoyable. It was certainly the fastest 1.5 hours of my vacation! Prices were affordable and even beverages were for sale while on the schooner.
