| This is the second time I went on the Adirondeck II. The captain is great as is the crew. You also get to take the helm for a few minutes.
The Bay and Ocean views are outstanding. The price is very reasonable for an hour and a half. Go....Preferably on a sunny day. |

| Delightful ride. Difficult to hear Captain tell about the things we were passing. Crew was lovely. Drinks a dollar and water free - can't beat that. Wish it was longer. |

| The crew was very friendly. Cost for sodas, beer and wine was reasonable. The boat was in very good shape. The 3:00 trip for 90 minutes fit perfectly into our schedule. |

| Our family had a fabulous time on the afternoon trip. The crew was friendly and informative. $1 beverages were a nice bonus! The only downside is that the time went by too fast! Highly recommended! |

| We don't live far from Newport and get down there a few times per year. We always wanted to try a harbor sail cruise and finally took the time to do so this past weekend. I can't say enough what a great experience it was. Booking it was easy, the crew was great, the price was reasonable, and the experience was a memory we'll never forget. The boat leaves from Bowen's wharf, motors out a couple minutes to get clear of other boats, and then sets sail. On our day the wind and sun were perfect, offering an exciting but stable ride. The crew provides stories about the local landmarks as you pass, and keeps the $1 drinks flowing if you'd like. Beer, wine, and soda are $1 and water is free. The sail is exciting, and for the very old and very young you'll want to caution them ahead of time on how to move around a boat under sail. The boat does heel 45 degrees or so when under sail, if you want things to be level (and boring) then a motorboat harbor cruise might be more your speed. If you are looking for an exciting and romantic adventure, then this is the trip for you. |

| We would have preferred a less packed venue, and we would have skipped altogether if we knew there would be so many small children. |

| My wife and I took the 3pm tour on a sweltering day (it was 15 degrees cooler on the water). Our sail on the Schooner Adirondack II was hands-down the best part of our trip! Neither of us had been sailing before, and the 1.5 hour tour gave us both the sailing bug. There was some good wind on the water which made for a fun, zippy sail--but not at all rough. We both got the chance to steer the boat which is a must if you get the chance. We only had about 15-20 people on our sail so several of us got the chance. The captain and crew were all extremely friendly, funny and knowledgeable. You could tell that they all loved what they did.
Not only is a sail on the Adirondack II a must-do when in Newport, you will also find it a best-buy. |
