Sunset Sail on the Schooner Adirondack II

Very informed and interesting crew, great sailors, and wonderful hospitality. We recommend this to anyone that we know is going to be visiting Newport, and often take guests on this sail.

It was a perferfect way to spend our Anniversary. The ride was smooth and the crew was great.

The Captain and crew were very engaging, the schooner comfortable and fast. My wife and I went on the 1 and a half hour sunset sail and I would recommend this to anyone.

My husband and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary and decided to take the sunset cruise. It could not have been a more perfect evening. We had an awesome boat ride, saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed talking with the captain. Extremely pleasant man with some fascinating stories. We enjoyed the ride very much and wound up taking it out again before we left Newport. Would highly recommend it!!

The sunset cruise on the Adirondack II was a great experience. The captain and crew were terrific and friendly. The drinks were great and the harbor and sunset views were well worth the trip. If you are in newport you have to set sail on the Adirondack II!

Even though it drizzled and it was dark and cloudy, the sail was incredible! My husband and I had a ton of fun! The schooner was cruising pretty swiftly and the feel of the wind blowing in your hair was refreshing! Despite some rough waters, I never experienced any sea sickness. Also, the crew was VERY friendly and personable. My only regret is that I didn't book this sail a few more times during the week! I would definitely do it again.

Sunset sail was exceptional, beautiful views, smooth sailing, professional & courteous crew. Only one problem, sail wasn't long enough! Our group agrees - a half day on the water would have been better!

Had a wonderful time! Couldn't hear the captain, but the crew was very knowledgable. Good amount of people on the boat, didn't take away from the romantics of the evening. Nice ride, good deal with the $1 drinks on board!

It was 26 years since I was in the Navy at Newport and wife and I came back for a mini-vacation. This was the BEST part or our trip to Newport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were no kidding $1.00! The views of the Bay were superb and the sunset was awesome. Highly recommend this boat trip. You will be glad you did.

My brother, sister-in-law, and nephew were visiting my wife and I. We spent the day seeing some of the sites in Newport, RI and couldn't have asked for nicer weather - but the traffic was crushing. Apparently we weren't the only ones to spend a beautiful day in Newport! By the end of the day we were tired from walking and from forcing our way through the traffic, and that's when we had our sunset sail scheduled. Right from the beginning, the crew were friendly and professional, the ship was majestic and graceful, and the guest attitudes were open and fun. We had a thoroughly peaceful, pleasant, and enjoyable ninety minute sail out and back, took lots and lots of photographs, and returned to Newport rejuvenated, relaxed, and content with ourselves. Even my eleven month old nephew enjoyed the water, the sights, and the sunset - not to mention all of the smiling people complimenting and paying attention to him! This was a great, family friendly, fun way to wrap up a long day and do so in a low-stress style. If you're gong to sail with them, please try the sunset cruise - it was fantastic! If there was one thing I would have liked added, it would be a PA-system for the ship's captain. He had a lot of funny and interesting stories to tell and it was a little hard to hear him on the other side of the ship. On the other hand, we all had an opportunity to meet our fellow guests and enjoy the soft lapping of the waves and the crisp snapping of the canvas sails - so we were doing OK!
