The crew was great - helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the scenes of Newport and all the boat had to offer, especially the cheap drinks! The sunset cruise was phenominal, making for excellent pictures - Would definitely recommend it - and we have!

A great sail boat and crew. It was conducive for sitting or standing. Kids got to steer the boat, which made it more memorable and enjoyable for them. Adults could relax and enjoy the scenery. It also helps when you have great weather…some wind and sun. I would recommend it to anyone. Newport is a great little town and a great place to sail around.

A great time for friends, families or couples. I recommend this trip if you want a relaxing trip with great views of the harbor/mansions and boats. I do not recommend this if you are looking for a boating excursion filled with commentary and history of Newport.

John and I always encourage company and visitors to go sailing while in Newport. The sunset sail brought back fond memories for my sister in law. To our surprise, this was a first time experience for our grown children. My brother in law had a positive sailing experience- his first! We spent the following evening viewing the pictures on our laptop. You could say that we enjoyed the sunset sail twice as much as expected. Thank you for a great family experience.

| My husband, mother and my teenage daughter and I chose to take a sunset sail
on board the Adirondack II. The boat was beautiful and the crew were nice
and helpful. I was slightly disappointed with the course we took as I felt we
did nothing more than sail back and forth from Fort Adams to the Newport
Bridge. My family and I envisioned a peaceful, quiet sunset sail and got nothing of the sort. Just before we were to set sail the captain announced that we were waiting for a few more guests who had purchased tickets but were late. A few minutes later 3 very noisy people boarded. One of the woman (once they were done laughing and talking very loudly) annouced that we should all sing happy birthday to her husband once he arrived on the boat as it was his 40th birthday. The rest of the passengers
just kind of looked at her as it was apparent that she had been drinking heavily.
A few minutes later the other 7 members of their party arrived even louder and
more boisterous than the first. The 10 member party spent the entire sail
yelling, laughing, drinking and just being downright obnoxious. It was awful.
The Captain never once asked them to be quiet or anything. They kept getting
in the way of the crew trying to raise and lower the sails. They had trays of
cheese, crackers and jam which they were passing around and which one of them ended up dumping on the deck of the boat. And somehow they found that amusing also.
We paid $148.00 to be totally annoyed for 1.5 hours. We were terribly disappointed and feel that we did not get what we paid for.

As far as the boat and crew I was very happy but I wasn't happy with the fact that there was a roudy bunch of adults that came on board at the last minute and were loud during the whole cruse. You could tell they had been drinking and kept drinking while on board, they were so loud you would have thought they were the only ones on the ship. My family and I were uncomfortable and I don't know if we would take another curse.

Great views that locals often either take for granted or forget are so close to them. It was nice to say to that we live in such a beautiful state.

I would and have recommended this to many friends. I will book another evening on the Adirondack II before summers end. Crew is extremely friendly and answered many questions while aboard.

This was one of the highlights of our trip, Captain Andy and his crew took care of us right from the beginning with sharing some stories about the area before we got the sails up. It was an awesome experience sailing around the harbor seeing things you can't see from land. I would highly reccomend this to anyone.

My first time on any sailboat was aboard the Adirondack II. The crew was friendly, the boat was comfortable, and the dollar drinks were great. I was let down by the fact we did not do more sailing. We sailed out and watched the sunset, but after the sunset, the engine was turned on and we motored back to the dock. It would have been great if we had sailed under the Newport bridge or even sailed a little faster.
