| It was a very hot day in Newport ....95° Once we got on the sail boat, we really enjoyed the ride and the sunset....the captain was very entertaining. The quietness of no motor was awesome to be able to hear the ripples in the ocean! | ||||||

Afternoon sail on board the Adirondack II

| My husband and I really enjoyed our sail on board the Adirondack II this past weekend. The schooner is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the sites from the water are spectacular. Once on our way the staff took our drink orders which include name brand beer i.e. Corona and red or white wine all for a VERY reasonable $1. I would highly recommend this sail to out of town visitors and locals alike. We live about 40 minutes from Newport and even though it was our first time on the Adirondack II, it most certainly won't be our last. | ||||||

| I have to first say thank you so much to the Adirondack II for calling me when 6 other girls and I were running late....we we're the last ones on the boat! Sorry and thank you!! The clouds couldn't be helped but it was still a beautiful night to be out on sea. We we're obviously celebrating a bachelorette and were extremely happy with the very generous champagne drinks served on board! The staff was also very helpful and polite. It was a suppossed to be a traditional Newport activity for us ladies to do...mission accomplished! Thank You!! | ||||||

| I recently took my Dad on the Schooner Adirondak II for his birthday. Having been on this trip multiple times (including the week before with a friend) in the past, I was not disappointed. It's a wonderfully relaxing ride with a knowledgeable captain and crew. I've been on this boat during a variety of weather situations (very little wind, a passing rain shower-which was refreshing-, and great wind) and the trip never disappoints! I look forward to some more sailing next summer! | ||||||

| It was a wonderful trip start to finish and in every way. Captain was upbeat and set a great tone at the start. Staff was friendly, fun, courteous, and all contributed to knowledge about the area and answered questions. The ride was smooth and relaxing...the skies beautiful and breeze heavenly! It was nice having beverages on hand...and only one dollar each! I recommend the Adirondack II wholeheartedly! | ||||||

| The Adirondack II is a modern, fast and very safe pilot schooner that replicates the boats that once plied Narragansett Sound and other New England harbors in the days of sail. The trip under sail from Newport out to the mouth of the sound in the nearly 80 foot long boat gives one a peaceful water's eye view of some of the most interesting buildings around Newport. The skipper was knowledgeable about local lore, and the crew attentive. One of the best features was the offer of beer and wine at the unheard of price of $1.00. What a pleasant surprise in an area where one is used to merchants sucking one's pockets clean at every opportunity! | ||||||

| The sail was great and the captain was really great too. He provided a lot of details on the surrounding area, and pointed out landmarks of interest. I would recommend this sail to my friends. My only complaint was they did not limit the drinks on the boat, and some of the groups were a little obnoxious with the alcohol. Other than that, it was a great time. | ||||||
