Fabulous

My daughters and I went as the result tickets for four given to me as a Christmas gift . We had a perfect day weather-wise, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the sail. The crew was great -- some of us took turns steering the boat. We enjoyed a glass of wine aboard, at the cost of $1.00 per glass. We were given a casual commentary of the various sights we observed.. I had no problem whatsoever booking the tickets online, which was an added bonus. In fact, a larger group of family members plan to return for another sail in August.

We took my husband's father and step mother on Father's Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The crew and captain were awesome. They were knowledgeable of the history of the harbor and surrounding areas and shared with the group. In fact we have plans to book another trip when my sister and good friend come in from New Orleans for the 4th of July week.

Romantic and wonderful evening!

We were lucky enough to have superb weather, but the crew is a large part of what made the experience so enjoyable. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable (blankets were offerred to make sure we were all warm enough - it gets chilly on the water when the sun goes down) and were just very, very nice people. We followed the suggestion when booking and brought along our own "clambake" from the restaurant next door (The Landing - at a crew member's suggestion). We ate a scrumptious dinner (I think everyone else was jealous) while we drank champagne and wine. The captain briefed us on some local history and the surroundings during the trip and was very conversational. My wife wanted to purchase a long sleeved t-shirt, but they didn't have one in her size. We found out later that they carried several on the boat - so ask while your on the cruise! I highly recommend the experience! Great evening!

A calming and refreshing sail

A wonderful escape from the onshore heat. The Captain and crew were competent, friendly and informative. Even though we're local, we learned some things about Newport and its history that we never knew before. We enjoyed a wonderful one and one half hours on the water on a beautiful day , with sunny skies and refreshing breezes. The sail was all that was promised and more. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

It was a beautiful sail. The crew was extremely friendly , accomodating and professional. The only observation Is that maybe have a few less passengers on board- I would pay more for the ticket to not be squished.

The weather was beautiful. The crew inviting, knowledgeable and friendly. They let us take turns steering. It was the highlight of our trip to Newport. Definitely would recommend this to any day trippers to Newport RI.

This was my second time on the sail boat tour, and I recommended it for my family too. We all had a good time. The guys liked the $1.00 Beers, the older folks found it relaxing, and the younger crowd enjoyed sailing the boat. It's a good trip for anyone of any age. I'll definitely come back again. The crew is great too, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Thanks again

I'm 76 years old and haven't sailed in many years, but my wife and I took the opportunity to "take a sail" again. We both enjoyed it immensely. It was great, made me feel a lot younger again. Ted Holtermann

My wife and I had such a wonderful time on our first sail on the Adirondack II, sitting next to the captain and listening to him describe the many points of interests as we sailed along the harbor. The friendly captain (Chris) and crew made the trip even more enjoyable with their hospitality. We will definitely do another trip on the Adirondack II on our next visit to Newport.

Loved sailing on a larger vessel
Sun, Oct 14, 07   5:00 PM livelyrose Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My husband and I are avid sailors and appreciate the fine boat building that is accomplished by the Scarano Brothers business. The vessel sailed very smoothly, the wind was perfect, and Andy at the helm was very informative about the area and sights we were passing along the way.

Sunset Schooner Sail
Sat, Oct 13, 07   5:00 PM akilacqua Female 60-69 Local Other
The sail was excellent, in every respect. However... we had tickets for the previous afternoon's sail, drove a distance to get to the harbor, only to learn that the ship would not sail because there were not enough passengers. While we understand *why* the sail could not take place, we were greatly inconvenienced by spending time and money [gas, tolls] to get to Newport for a trip which was canceled. Surely we could have been forewarned. My husband was not feeling well that day and we would have easily accepted an offer to postpone our trip, but we made the effort to be there on time.
