The crew of the Adirondack II was very accomodating and personable. The captain was quite informative. Beer, wine, and champagne were only a dollar a glass! It is the most relaxing and enjoyable hour and a half sail. It is one of the best ways to appreciate Newport, RI. If I ever remarry, I would contemplate having my wedding on the Adirondack II.....

This trip was outstanding. I will recommend this to all my freinds and use it again whenever I am in the Newport area.

We were on a four-day weekend trip and and decided to buy tickets online for a sail at 7:00 PM that Friday evening. However, a thunderstorm formed that afternoon. We were disappointed but greatful when the crew decided to cancel the 7:00 sail because of the threat of high winds and rain. They gave us a refund and we tried the following afternoon. We had no trouble getting tickets around thirty minutes before the 1:00 PM sail on the next day which was weather perfect. My wife and I and about fifteen others came on board. The young crew, consisting of two girls and one young helmsman, was very competent and very friendly. Beer and softdrinks were available for a dollar. After a while, the young helmsman allowed a few passengers including myself to take the helm and steer the boat for a few minutes at a time. All in all, a great time out on the bay and we took some great pictures. The sail lasted about one and a half hours and in my opinion well worth the price. I would certainly recommend it to any visitor to Newport.

wonderful sail, pleasant captain/crew; you just nbed to remember to change website about "Free wine/Champagne", as we got on the boat, and it was $1.00 per drink.

My family and I (myself, husband & 2 children who are 12 years old) enjoyed the sunset sail very much. It was a nice evening, but on the water we needed a light coat. My children also opted for a blanket that the crew provided. The ride was very smooth & the scenery as well as the sunset was beautiful. The crew did a great job at making sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed.

It would have been perfect if only it had been warmer!! Crew was great and made it very enjoyable.

It was a fabulous afternoon! Fun for all ages 6-57

We have been on this boat 2 times in as many years. Both times the afternoon was wonderful. Both times were very differen trips. The first time we were given a fabulous ' sighseeing tour' of the Bay the crew pointed out all 'sights' and we traveled to Beaver Tail State Park and almost out into the open ocean. The Captian was awesome and crew full of information. The second time... most recently... we stayed in the harbor and did not get much farther out than the house on the rock near Jamestown center. There wasn't any 'tour' type discriptions of everything along the shores that we had previously seen. We were fine with that, We just sailed along in the slight breeze of the beautiful day and it was still a very nice afternoon in the sun! The Captian was very good and it was amazing to watch her work the sails and even resolove an issue with one sail cutting a rope that jammed. We learned alot more about the other boats in the harbor and the how to's of sailing the second time around. Both trips were great and fun!!!
