The Schooner Adirondack II, sister ship to the award-winning Adirondack in New York City, is one of the fastest and most comfortable resident sail vessels in the Newport harbor. With ample deck space and seating for up to 60, she was built and designed for taking groups of people on spectacular sightsailing adventures.
The Adirondack II is operated by Coast Guard Certified Captains and extremely friendly and talented crew. Known for their amazing hospitality, our staff is all professionally trained and experienced on sailing our vessel well and safely. They're also very knowledgeable about all the sights you will enjoy.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself. With wind behind the sails and amazing scenes in front of your eyes, everything is just breezy on the Adirondack II.

Activity Description
Despite its name, this event runs in moderate weather! Step aboard our turn-of-the-century style schooner, Adirondack II for a traditional sailor's cocktail arrrgh (hour)!
Dark and Stormies, the national drink of Bermuda and a favorite among the local sailing community, are served aboard this sail, along with Bermuda's Goslings Rum and spicy New England Ginger Beer.
Schooner sails are the perfect way to see the sights of Rhode Island. Adirondack II is a smooth, gentle sailing vessel with ample seating, teak decks, and just under 2000 square feet of sail to effortlessly take us through Narragansett Bay.
Some of the iconic waterfront sights you'll be able to view on Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay include:
- Newport Bridge
- Historic lighthouses
- Fort Adams - A 19th century military fort
- Stately waterfront mansions
- Hammersmith Farm - the former Summer White House of JFK
- America's Cup boats and performance sailing yachts.
Your local captains and crew are always ready to answer questions about the sights and history of Newport Harbor and its surrounding areas. From interesting facts to old-time legends, the maritime world of Newport has many great stories to offer!
Dark & Stormies, champagne, wine, beer and soda will be available for purchase ($1/beverage). Water will be provided on board at no additional cost. (One quick note: we will serve a few rounds, but it is not an unlimited booze-cruise. We aim to create a relaxing, peaceful, and safe experience for all of our guests.)

What Is Not Included?
Food is not served during the sail, but please feel free to bring your own picnic!
The price of drinks is not included in the cost of your ticket, so please bring extra cash. Water will be provided on board at no cost.
