| I chose this excursion because the website said we would go past the mansions, Fort Adams, lighthouses, Newport Bridge and the Kennedy's summer home. We did go past Fort Adams and the summer home and saw the bridge from a distance; however, we did not go past the other attractions. Nothing was narrated so you were left guessing what things were and did not learn any facts or history. It was windy that day but it seemed like we didn't do a lot of "sailing", just drifting along. Our captain did give some kids the opportunity to steer and it was neat watching the crew put up the sails. Otherwise, I was disappointed that we didn't get to see all of the sites, hear more about them and do some fast and fun SAILING. | ||||||

| Loved the sail. The boat was really nice. We had a 20 month old with us and there was plenty of room for her to walk around. The crew was really friendly. We loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat. | ||||||

| THE SAIL WAS WONDERFUL! The boat was roomy and the views were great. It felt a bit short becuase as soon as you really got out in open water you were heading home! But it was 90 minutes as promised. The beer and wine on the day cruise was only $1 each, a total bargin! | ||||||

Bit pricey, but cheaper than owning your own boat

| The crew was knowlegeable, friendly and fun to be around. The ship is safe as can be and takes to the sea just fine. There's nothing like being on the water in Newport. Don't visit the town without sailing Narragansett Bay. It would have been good to do a harbor burn (where you sail in and out of the mooring field in the inner harbor) but perhaps that's asking a bit much. Overall, it's worthy. | ||||||

| We really enjoyed our sailing trip on the Adirondack II-- the currents were too strong to get us out to the Castle Hill lighthouse, though. The crew was very friendly- even got my daughter a snack when she was "starving" and let her have a turn at the wheel. I only wish there had been a little more commentary on the various sights. The captain seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, but it would have been nice for the information to be volunteered. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset sail on the Adirondack II - we found the crew to be courteous, extremely knowlegable and they were able to get their safety messages across without changing the "mood"...that is a real plus! The only drawback to the entire experience was the "eau du dumpster" smell upon embarkation and disembarkation...that, and the fact that we could have stayed out for hours! Thanks. | ||||||

| We bought the tickets in advance which I guess I would not do again. The forcast was for a beautiful day which it was. However, there was no wind. We got part way out with the sails but then we just sat for a while not moving at all. Finally the motor was needed to troll us around and back to the dock. I have to say it was disappointing and not really worth what we had paid. Speaking of payment, the internet add said that you got a free soft drink withthe trip but then we were charged extra for it on the boat. I know it's not a lot a money but when advertised as free and then to be charged is a put off. The boat was very nice and the crew was friendly but the experience fell quite short of what we had hoped for. I think when the sail is not very good the passengers should be given the opportunity to sail again sometime for free or at least at a 50% discount. sometime wintin a year. | ||||||
