It was a relaxing boat ride around Newport. Perfect for a sunny day, but please note that if you book in advance, they still sail in rain and do not give refunds. They do allow you to switch the day of your sail, which is what we did, and it worked out well. The people who work there are very informative and friendly and I would definitely recommend this cruise.

My husband and I were looking forward to this because it had very high reviews. However, the sailboat was overcrowded. Too many tickets were sold so it was hard to find a seat and move around during the sail. The sailing route was not very good either. Rather than going around the whole bay we sailed one way and we sailed back the same way. I didn't want to see the same thing!

Relaxing and enjoyable!

Went out with Captain Chris. He was funny and informative. It was a hot and cloudy day and the breeze was terrific. My husband and I enjoyed hearing the history of the various properties we passed.. Loved it!

Our group included grandparents, parents and grandchildren. Each one of us had a very memorable 90 minutes. We got a little history lesson and a wonderful breeze on a very hot day. The sites were great.

First time on such a ship; great weather and friendly crew, who were involved with the passengers and readily answered our questions; good length of trip; very reasonably priced (and cold) drinks; will select a more comfortable seat next time.

The crew was friendly, the boat was beautiful, and the scenery was great! I just wished I booked a longer sail :)

My fiance and I decided to buy tickets for the evening sail while we were on a trip to RI. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves very much. We had perfect weather for the sail and took in breathtaking views of the water and sunset. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Newport. It's definitely worth your while.

We had a wonderful afternoon sail. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and a good wind. The captain and crew were very skilled, and they provided great information about the history, landmarks, and interesting facts that are associated with the beautiful Narragansett Bay. It was an experience that my husband and I will always remember.

I think this is the perfect activity for regular tourists who want to spend a bit of time out on the water, but are not necessarily sailing enthusiasts. The great mimosa deal makes it especially attractive for adults, couples and groups of friends. I found the staff to be very friendly and liked the fact that the guide spoke about the history of the sites we saw.

The boat was beautiful and the crew was delightful. My complaint is something that is out of their control, but the fog set in during our 1.5 hours, and we couldn't see much while we were sailing. Apparently they will sail under any conditions, except a lightning storm and heavy rain.

Well worth it

Out of all the things we saw/did in Newport, this definitely ranks high on the list. The boat was beautiful, the captain was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly, and the $1 beer/champagne/wine was a great deal. We were able to see some beautiful spots from the water and learn quite a bit about the area from the captain. Just wonderful!
