Nice boat, sail, crew, and beers

We had great weather for a sunset sail. The crew was nice. The captain noted a few points of interest, but it was not overbearing. Relaxing time out and the $1 drinks were a added bonus. Good times for a couple or a group.

Excellent sail. The crew discribed the surroundings with wit and humor. The crew was also very friendly.

Appropriate for experienced sailor and non-sailor alike. Great wind, great sail, great views, great crew! Very peaceful and a wonderful way to see the other side of Newport: the harbor, the coastline, and lower Narragansett Bay. I would recommend it to both local Rhode Islanders (especially non-boaters) and visitors alike - a few tranquil minutes out of the day and a multitude of images and memories.

Great Ship and Crew

Had a nice time with my wife this week on the Adirondack II. The ship is amazing and the Capt. and Crew were great. Drinks were available as well as blankets if it got cool out. Would definately recommend as a must-do activity when in Newport.

We really enjoyed the sail and would do it again.

My husband and I both enjoyed the sail very much. The views were beautiful. The captain was very professional in his handling of the boat, and provided just enough detail about the scenery - - enough so we appreciated the history, but not so much that he was talking the entire time. Part of the great thing about the sail, in our opinion, was to hear the wind and water, which you wouldn't have been able to appreciate if someone was jabbering the whole time. The crew of two young men was polite and attentive to our refreshment needs. The boat was very nice, as well - - we chose this boat over others because the seating appeared to be more comfortable. Rather than sitting on the cabin roofs in the middle of the boat, as many of the other sailing ships required, this boat had built-in seats around the edge of the boat. We had a great time, and would enthusiastically recommend this sail to others.

Excellent local visit

If you want fun, sun and excitement and a local trip during these summer months of the gas crunch. Motor down to Newport and take a quiet restfull sailing trip. If you are fortunate enough to steer this majistic 80 foot plus sailing vessel, then all the better. The captin and crew are also great tour guides. And forget bringing the water and drinks, you will not be ripped off. Beer and red and white wine are a buck each. And at the end of the trip, have a great dinner or lunch right on the water. We did and loved every moment of it.

My daughters and I went as the result tickets for four given to me as a Christmas gift . We had a perfect day weather-wise, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the sail. The crew was great -- some of us took turns steering the boat. We enjoyed a glass of wine aboard, at the cost of $1.00 per glass. We were given a casual commentary of the various sights we observed.. I had no problem whatsoever booking the tickets online, which was an added bonus. In fact, a larger group of family members plan to return for another sail in August.

We took my husband's father and step mother on Father's Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The crew and captain were awesome. They were knowledgeable of the history of the harbor and surrounding areas and shared with the group. In fact we have plans to book another trip when my sister and good friend come in from New Orleans for the 4th of July week.

Romantic and wonderful evening!

We were lucky enough to have superb weather, but the crew is a large part of what made the experience so enjoyable. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable (blankets were offerred to make sure we were all warm enough - it gets chilly on the water when the sun goes down) and were just very, very nice people. We followed the suggestion when booking and brought along our own "clambake" from the restaurant next door (The Landing - at a crew member's suggestion). We ate a scrumptious dinner (I think everyone else was jealous) while we drank champagne and wine. The captain briefed us on some local history and the surroundings during the trip and was very conversational. My wife wanted to purchase a long sleeved t-shirt, but they didn't have one in her size. We found out later that they carried several on the boat - so ask while your on the cruise! I highly recommend the experience! Great evening!

A calming and refreshing sail

A wonderful escape from the onshore heat. The Captain and crew were competent, friendly and informative. Even though we're local, we learned some things about Newport and its history that we never knew before. We enjoyed a wonderful one and one half hours on the water on a beautiful day , with sunny skies and refreshing breezes. The sail was all that was promised and more. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

It was a beautiful sail. The crew was extremely friendly , accomodating and professional. The only observation Is that maybe have a few less passengers on board- I would pay more for the ticket to not be squished.

The weather was beautiful. The crew inviting, knowledgeable and friendly. They let us take turns steering. It was the highlight of our trip to Newport. Definitely would recommend this to any day trippers to Newport RI.

This was my second time on the sail boat tour, and I recommended it for my family too. We all had a good time. The guys liked the $1.00 Beers, the older folks found it relaxing, and the younger crowd enjoyed sailing the boat. It's a good trip for anyone of any age. I'll definitely come back again. The crew is great too, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Thanks again
