I'm 76 years old and haven't sailed in many years, but my wife and I took the opportunity to "take a sail" again. We both enjoyed it immensely. It was great, made me feel a lot younger again. Ted Holtermann

Memorable Experience, Look Forward to Future Trips

My wife and I had such a wonderful time on our first sail on the Adirondack II, sitting next to the captain and listening to him describe the many points of interests as we sailed along the harbor. The friendly captain (Chris) and crew made the trip even more enjoyable with their hospitality. We will definitely do another trip on the Adirondack II on our next visit to Newport.

Loved sailing on a larger vessel
Sun, Oct 14, 07   5:00 PM livelyrose Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My husband and I are avid sailors and appreciate the fine boat building that is accomplished by the Scarano Brothers business. The vessel sailed very smoothly, the wind was perfect, and Andy at the helm was very informative about the area and sights we were passing along the way.

Sunset Schooner Sail
Sat, Oct 13, 07   5:00 PM akilacqua Female 60-69 Local Other
The sail was excellent, in every respect. However... we had tickets for the previous afternoon's sail, drove a distance to get to the harbor, only to learn that the ship would not sail because there were not enough passengers. While we understand *why* the sail could not take place, we were greatly inconvenienced by spending time and money [gas, tolls] to get to Newport for a trip which was canceled. Surely we could have been forewarned. My husband was not feeling well that day and we would have easily accepted an offer to postpone our trip, but we made the effort to be there on time.

Best deal on the Warf
Sun, Oct 7, 07   5:30 PM nealjl Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
I definatly reccomend this company 100%. On the warf there are several companies simmilar to the Adirondack, but none offer champagne, Carona, Sam Adams, Miller, and wine for 1$. We went on the 5:30 cruise, which gave us a perfect sunset halfway through. However, by the time we got back to the dock it was pitch black, so if your going to go during the fall I would NOT take the 7:30 ride, it will be pitch black. Also, everyone was really nice and informative on New Port Harbor history. Make sure to bring a jacket and scarf, there are blankets but it gets cold once the sun goes down.

Our cruise on the Adirondack II was the best. The Captain and Crew were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We will be sailing with them again fore sure !!!!!! The vessel was safe, clean and provided a very smooth ride. An excellent time was had by all in my party including my wife who in not a big boat person. She remarked how serene it was and comfortable she was. Enjoy Tj

A most relaxing way to enjoy Newport and the bay!
Sat, Sep 29, 07   12:00 PM Lynaroy Female 50-59 Local Individual
This was my fourth sail on the Adirondack II. It is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to enjoy and savor Newport and the Naragansett bay. Being out on the bay in such a beautiful sailing vessel makes me proud to call Rhode Island home. The hospitality of the fun and friendly crew makes for a great experience. It all is well worth the money. Beer, wine, and champagne for a dollar a glass is also a real bargain. I will sail on the Adirondack II for many more times to come.
