We were on the dock the night before we made the decision to sail on Sunday morning and what caught my attention was the deftness in which the captain and crew docked the boat in extremely tight quarters. Sailing on the Adirondack 2 is such exhilarating fun! My wife and I sailed on this schooner last year -- enjoyed it so much we invited family members to go with us this year -- they too enjoyed it immensely. We're going again with the rest of our family. What adds to the enjoyment of sailing on an 80' schooner is the friendliness and helpfulness of the captain and crew. Sailing on this beautiful vessel has my highest recommendation!

This trip was with my Husband, our 19 year old Daughter and her two 19 year old friends. We have never been on a sail boat before and it was GREAT!! It was a GORGEOUS, SUNNY, WARM, WINDY DAY!!! The Captain of the ship was very good at her job and very chatty and informative. The two ship mates were also good at their jobs and were friendly, but busy. With taking care of the sails and handing out water (free) and drinks ($3) to the passengers. We sat along the bench seats, other people sat on top of the compartments. We LOVED when the ship was turning into the wind and is was heeling DRAMATICALLY!! You could almost touch the water with your hands!! :D It was a really wonderfull tour around the harbor! :) The Captain does not use a sound system when she talks and she talks the entire trip! I heard her in bits and pieces, but it was OK, I was just truly enjoying the ride!!! :D :D :D So, if you want to hear all the information, you need to sit close by the Captain where she is at the wheel at the back of the ship. We enjoyed this trip SO MUCH that we are going to take a "Classic Afternoon Schooner Sail" EVERY TIME we come up here and that will be EVERY YEAR!!! :D :D :D I reccomend this trip HIGHLY!!! I have a replaced right knee and I did just fine getting in and out of the ship with some help from the strong young ships crew. There is a rest room on board but it has a tricky ladder down and a funky toilet system. My Daughter and her friends used it and said that is was "very different". ;) ;) At times when the ship is REALLY HEELING, you just have to HANG ON!!! :O :D It is SO MUCH FUN!!! :D If you have the opportunity to go on this sailing cruise, DO IT!!!

Staff was very attentive and informative; sail was not too windy but still fun! Lots to see... we'd highly recommend it.

My husband and I loved the boat ride. We happened to book it during the Americas Cup week so all of the boats were practicing around our sail. It was amazing. Once in a lifetime opportunity for us really. Crew was very friendly and all of the people on board had a great time. Would highly recommend.
