Wonderful trip out onto the water

The captain and crew were very nice. The boat looks like it could use a little bit of work, but the trip out was wonderful. It was a cool day, but still comfortable. We saw lots of dolphins and wonderful views from the boat.

Just a sailboat ride, nothing more.

We were excited to go aboard the Schooner Pride and had read good reviews about the trip. It was a cloudy day with a few very short showers, but nothing that ruined our day. The crew were friendly, but kept to themselves, no tour and no information given about what you were seeing. One of the crew members had his girlfriend on board and we weren't sure if she also worked on the boat, but she helped with the sails. We got to a couple of points in the river and stopped. We were able to see the dolphins, which was the highlight of the boat ride. The captain was adept, but the rest of the crew was not as professional and they all hung out together in a small group and talked and laughed. I would love to take another ride in the river area, but I would not choose this company to do it with.

Worth a Try

My wife picked this activity for the day. It's best not to argue! The temp. was in the 70's, the sky was blue, the wind was 10 knots. You can purchase beer or wine on the boat! How can you go wrong. We sailed around the harbor and had a great time. We talked with people we would never had met. The crew and captain were great . Why not spend some time on the water and get a whole new view of Charleston.

Great Trip

I highly recommend this activity. The boat wasn't at fully capacity, so we had plenty of room to stretch out. The crew was very nice and were locals, so they knew the area well. This is not a guided tour, but whenever the crew is not actually working the boat, they are willing to talk about the area from history to dining recommendations. I wish there had been more wind as we motored for about a third of the trip, but that is certainly not the Pride's fault! Make sure to bring a jacket, as it can get chilly on the bay.

Worth every penny

Beautiful ship, great sail, crew was nice and courteous. It was nice just sitting back and enjoying the view of the harbor. The weather was great and the dolphins were playful. One came within a foot or so of the ship. An all around great time.

The crew was very friendly and responded well to every need. I got exactly what I paid for, a calm, fun day in the Sun.

Relaxing Sail

We love sailing, and Schooner Pride was an excellent alternative to the ferry tours of Charleston Harbor. The ship is beautiful and it was relaxing spending two hours out on the water on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Beverages were available for an inexpensive price, and the members of the crew we spoke to were friendly and informative. The one thing I would recommend is getting directions that include a crossroad that can be pinpointed on a map. The street address wasn't terribly helpful to anyone coming on foot with a map in hand (it's a long street divided into two distinct sections) and saying you are "next to the aquarium" isn't very helpful to an out of towner who doesn't know where the aquarium is (it was not on our map).
