| We went on a 1:00 cruise. There were a small number of passengers, so it was almost like a private cruise. It was an incredibly beautiful day and we enjoyed magnificent scenery as we cruised the Harbor area. Our captain and crew were fun and engaging, answering questions and ensuring that everyone was comfortable. Because there is no loud speaker blaring, this cruise is quiet, peaceful, and not "touristy". A great activity that I will include in future plans. |

| The sail was lots of fun. I do wish that it was more of a tour (ie people talking about the city)... |

| We rode the Schooner Pride 4 years ago with German business associates and felt that the Pride was in better shape then. This time we noticed alot of flaking paint and felt it was not in ship shape condition overall. Another schooner happened to be in the vicinity and it looked so crisp and awesome. The Pride looked a bit tired/worn out.
Also the crew were not as interactive and informative this time - more on the quiet side. It would have made the trip more interesting if they interacted more with the passengers and given us information about the different sites. We didn't need a running commentary, but highights would have been welcome.
4 years ago they even encouraged passengers to help out at the helm if they so desired.
Last time they sailed along the homes of Battery Park which provided a great overview of the residential area from the water - but again, not this time. However, last week the wind was stronger ,so in fairness, a bit more time was needed to handle the sails. This did make for a more exciting sail, but definitely not an informative one. We had to seek out a crew member if we had a question. (and were encouraged to do so during the orientation) , but without input from them, we didn't have any information about which to ask quesitons. For the first time visitors to Charleston we had with us. this was not a good way to learn more about Charleston.
This can add a wonderful dimension to any visit to Charleston - but I would encourage them to keep up the high standards that we have experienced in the past.

| Unfortunately the day we purchased tickets there was absolutly no wind in the harbor. We were under motor all the time. Took away from the experience but no fault of the Schooner Pride.
Crew was friendly and polite.
Will try again on a better day. |

| My husband and I both agreed that this was one of the best "adventures" we have ever been on. Everything about the day was perfect, the weather, the crew, the relaxing affect the sailing had on us, watching the dolphins jumping in the water, absolutely perfect..........best way I can describe it!!! I'll highly recommend to everyone I know. |

| Crew was friendly and helpful with questions although not as forthcoming with information as one may have liked. Great views of the city and points in the harbor but does not get very close to Ft Sumter. Our Friday evening tour was canceled due to inclement weather (storms and lightning) but we were notified in advance and offered a refund or rescheduling. We chose to go on Saturday and enjoyed the experience. If you're looking for a nice sail it's great, if you desire history or info about Charleston opt for a different tour. |
