| We really enjoyed sailing around Charleston Harbor, seeing the sights while skimming across the water. The weather was perfect -- sunny with a strong breeze. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable, answering our questions about Charleston and the sights we were seeing. |

| The sail was wonderful! The deckhands and Captain were fabulous. The cruise was well worth the ticket price and the scenery was breathtaking. The captain was kind and friendly toward all the children, allowing them a turn at the wheel. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice afternoon in Charleston. |

| My husband and I went on this sail when we were staying in Charleston for a long weekend. The crew was very polite, knowledgeable and had energy to spare. They answered all questions and even came up with stories of past sailings to entertain us. I would recommend anyone going on this cruise. It is a bargain for the money. |

| Fairly boring as sails go. Although there was wind, the crew didn't seem too interested in making this a fun sail. |

| My husband and I enjoyed the afternoon sail on the Schooner Pride. It was comfortable, relaxing, and a nice way to get out on the water. The crew involved some volunteers to help put up the sails which was nice. We would have liked a little narration on where we were going and what we were seeing, but they did try to answer questions when asked. I'd recommend this excursion to couples and families. |

| I suppose the first thing out of the gate would be to say that we had a great time, I, of course, as the wannabe sailor, had the best time, but my wife liked being on the boat, seeing the pelicans and dolphins, and, of course, the beer. The Pride boasts, among her other amenaties, a cash bar. My sister also had a good time, enjoying seeing the city from a new perspective, as she’d never been on a harbor tour either.
Our crew was friendly and competent. Given a choice, I would have preferred a narrated tour, but there was no script. Mostly we cruised the harbor. When there was something of particular interest, such as the dolphins, or Fort Sumpter, or Castle Pickney, the worlds most frustrated fort, they would point it out. They were also very responsive to questions. But I think that a narrated tour would have been more fun. I did learn something. If I opt for a radical career change, crewing a tall ship means spending at least half your time as a waiter. The Pride has a well-stocked cooler of domestic and imported beers, a small selection of wines and sodas, and plenty of water, so thirst was no problem. And the crew remained gracious, no matter how many times K and I sent them back down the hatch for more beer.
Regards,
Bill |
