My husband and I chose to just sit on deck and enjoy the moonlight, warm weather, light breezes, and calm seas. Our reverie was further complimented by the strumming of a guitar played by the on board entertainer. We had 2 glasses of complimentary wine to sip and had some light snacks we brought with us. This is definitely something adults would appreciate far more than children. The late night sail (beginning at 9 p.m.) was two hours, and there wasn't much to do other than relax and and enjoy the venue, which was our goal. We liked it so much, we hope to do this again soon. Next time, we'll bring cushions/blankets to sit on. This activity was well worth the money! |

My husband and I have enjoyed sailing with the Schooner Pride for many years. It's a must when we have company, but actually we just use this as an excuse to enjoy a sail on the Pride any time of day.
Under the stars, watching the moon rise with champagne in hand and the warm wind blowing against your face is very romantic. The sails were full, and uninterrupted by the sounds and smell of a motor, we quietly scooted along enjoying the lights of the homes on the Battery, the beautiful Ravenel Bridge and the other boaters.
We highly recommend this outing to all - local or visitors. |

What a beautiful evening!! This attraction is not to be missed! I could not believe how bright the moon was on the water. We will definitely go back and take the sunset cruise. We also had the bonus of a local musician playing acoustic guitar on the boat; it was very relaxing. You will not be disappointed on this trip. Thanks to the captain and crew for a great time. |

I purchased tickets as a surprise for my husband who had always expressed an interest in going on a moon light sail on this boat. I thought the full moon the other evening was the perfect opportunity, but the ride was not at all what I expected. We were disappointed in many things, but first was the fact that the captain seemed to have had too many that day! His speech was slurred which made understanding where we were sailing and what we would be doing difficult, and he stumbled (a lot) when walking, and we had not even left the pier. The two drinks we were promised as part of our ticket price was a joke. When someone finally got around to asking us if we would like something, I thought a nice glass of wine would be a romantic touch to our evening, however the wine tasted like it had turned to vinegar, and I was only able to take a few sips. For our second beverage, it was all I could do to sip on water after the wine was so bad, and my husband chose to have a beer. The beer was, in his words, "skunkie"! Having spent $47.00 per ticket I feel we did not get our money's worth. The "sail" boat used it's motor to get out to the middle of the harbour. They put up the sails, after much difficulty, and drifted around for a while, and then "drove" back to shore. With all the wonderful things there are to do in the Charleston area this to me is a rip off. We have lived here for 8 years now and have done many less expensive, and more enjoyable things. I tried to be spontanious and plan what I felt would be a romantic evening with my husband of 32 years, and I feel the money spent could have been better used on a nice dinner and a stroll along the battery! Tourists beware, it is not all they make it out to be in the advertising. |

This was a fun sail to relax and have a drink. This is not a tour, so don't expect to have tourist points of interest pointed out. We ended our stay in Charleston with this sail, so we pretty much already knew what we were seeing. It was a nice and quiet sail under a full moon with a live singer/guitar player who played nice folk songs. You don't stay out long enough for people to get drunk and obnoxious so it was very relaxing and enjoyable. The crew was extremely courteous and willing to answer questions. |

My husband and I live near Myrtle Beach and were looking for something different to do. I booked this trip a a surprise for him. The sailing was so relaxing and the moon light was romantic. We took cheese and crackers with us and just sat back and talked and gazed at the lights of Charleston Harbor. The crew is entertaining and outstanding! They were quick to bring drinks and very friendly. If you are looking for a romantic evening then consider this trip:) |
