Sunset Sail on the Schooner Pride

The staff were very friendly, the trip was relaxing and fun. Having the wind in your face is always a great way to end the day. I am a local and never get tired of seeing our beautiful city from the water.

Was on board in time. Shortly before we started a thunderstorm broke loose. So we did have some wind, but it was also pouring down. Ponchos didn't help much as they were blown away. The crew was friendly and competent, the tour as such may be pretty nice if undertaken in good weather. We didn't see any sun and consequently we also couldn't observe any sunset. However we had the chance to observe some dolphins alongside the schooner. The vessel is in good shape (I'm an active sailer myself, so I think I can judge that). I would recommend the tour to everybody, given weather is not as bad as it was for us.

First time to sail in a schooner. Captain and crew very nice, informative and wanted everyone to be comfortable and have a good time. Impressed by the amount of history they knew and their willingness to answer questions. Would definitely sail again.

Not too much of an action

The crew was very informative and help make the sail very pleasant. The perfect sunset and the weather was beautiful. Dolphins swam along the ship which gave us all an added bonus.

Nice relaxing time on the water. The only criticism would be that there appeared to be a significant amount of time in one spot on the water and not moving around. Overall though it was a good time.

What a fabulous evening. The weather was perfect, the crew very friendly. The captain very knowledgeable about all the sites, if asked. Just a great way to spend your evening after a long day...

To be perfectly accurate, this was specifically billed as a non-narrated event, but the two hours of the sail could have been enhanced by a bit more interaction with the captain and crew. To find out what we were seeing around us, we had to track down a crew member and ask specific questions about it. For most of the cruise on that almost calm evening, it was quiet as a tomb onboard. We also didn't think much of the captain's specific request at the cruise's end to "remember his crew" (with gratuities). A simple sign out saying "gratuities accepted" and a discreet box to receive them would have been in better taste, we thought.

Simple, the Palmetto Breeze sunset sail out of Mt Pleasant is a way better deal. It's nearly $15 cheaper and includes free drinks. It sails longer, faster and has more room/comfort. That about sums it up. The crew on this boat was wonderful, I'll give them that.

The crew is fantastic! See the sights of Charleston by boat (at sunset) was beyond beautiful.
