Fantastic experience

My husband and I took this wonderful sailing experience while on vacation. We have sailed alone many times on smaller sailboats so we thought we knew what to expect...but this was even better than expected. The crew was helpful and informative and friendly. Our skipper (captain) was the same...friendly and informative. We so much enjoyed ourselves and have already recommended this sail to family and friends. And if we are in the Charleston area again we will sail the Pride once more. Delightful. Thank you.

My husband and I were in town for our one year Anniversary and went out on Friday evening. It was very unwinding. A great way to begin our weekend! Thank you!!!

I would recommend this to everyone. We had such a great time. It is amazing how smooth the sailing is. The scenery was wonderful and the employees were very informed. We went on a date without our children, but this is something that some older kids would enjoy.

The sunset sail was everything I expected-I highly recommend it. Fantastic views of the sunset over Charleston harbor, a nice breeze, a friendly crew- if you can possibly spare two hours in the early evening, Do it!!

We had a great time on the Sunset Sail. We even brought our small dog along, and he had a good time. The sail is mostly just for kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying the view....and the view is amazing! It was worth the money, and we'd go back again.

Master at the helm, engaged and lively mates

We took an early evening sail across the harbor with a brisk breeze to the lee. We took one tack when we had sailed far enough to see the lighthouse. We came about as smoothly as one might imagine, and headed for the Ravenel Bridge. When we reached land to the starboard, we could have square-danced on the deck. The mates, in particular the young, dark fellow, engaged us in a lively conversation about the harbor's history. We were impressed.

As a family that has never been on a sail boat before we enjoyed it. We would have liked a bit of local sight seeing descriptions, but overall it was very enjoyable. We are glad that we did it on our recent trip.

Crew friendly; sail boring due to "weather conditions" the sail did not include The Battery, which would have been a high-light of the trip; we instead, basically circled in the same spot 2 - 3 times before heading back to dock.

Great experience with family and friends

Sailing on the Pride lets you tour the harbor while enjoying the experience of being on a real sailing vessel. It really fits in with the historical character of Charleston much better than the regular harbor tour boats. We had beautiful weather and it truly felt like we were riding the wind. I would especially recommend the sunset cruise. Our only complaint was that there was no one to tell us about the sights we were seeing and, while the brochure advertises that passengers may help sail the vessel, we were not offered this opportunity. Still, it was a wonderful experience; just hold on to your hats and enjoy the ride!
