I had never sailed before so this was really neat for me. It's not really a guided tour, but the captain and mates are knowledgeable and personable. We didn't have good breeze, so we didn't sail the whole time but that was okay. You gotta work with what you're given! :) |

Very pleasant crew - helpful and enthusiastic. Ship was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the sunset voyage. Wish more information was shared but in fairness it was not a narrated tour.
Would do it again! |

We arrived at the Schooner Pride and we were greeted by a very friendly crew. We were instructed of all the safety issues and then we set sail. It was an enjoyable cruise. The Charleston Bay is beautiful and the excursion was very relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see the bay and relax at the same time. It was very refreshing. |

We had a terrific time on the sunset cruise and would recommend it to others. The staff and crew were friendly, knowledgeable and safe - just the kind of qualities that instill trust on a boat tour. The vessel was lovely and well matched for Charleston's charm and history. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the Schooner 'Pride'. Smaller numbers and an attentive sailing staff made for an individualized experience. Our captain and his 'mates' were personable and knowledgeable and made the trip fun, even though the winds were light! Would highly recommend for a relaxing evening in Charleston Harbor, with a bit of a unique twist! |

The crew and sail were wonderful. I am a local so there was no need for the history explanations along the way, but if you wanted it the crew was happy to answer any questions. It was a perfect sunset sail! |

We really enjoyed things, but we were expecting more of a "tour" I guess--more interaction and instruction from the guides. The folks were super nice on board, but we really had to generate conversation--and again we expected this to be somewhat instructional, with some discussion about Charleston and what we were seeing out there on the water--but pretty much it was quiet and looking at the water and having to ask questions ourselves. It was an easy sail and very beautiful--I would only recommend it to folks who wanted to relax and simply sail--not to anyone who was looking for more.
Still we enjoyed it!! |

This was a fun boat ride with a fabulous captain and crew and the lovely sunset topped it off. We only saw dolphins briefly so that was disappointing but otherwise it was awesome! |

I guess it's not fair to compare something to the way it was more than 10 years ago, but that's the last time I had been on the Pride and it was amazing. Sailed from near Caifornia Dreaming out into the harbor so it seemed like we were much closer to everything and the guide did provide some historical information and pointed out areas of interest to us. In contrast, on this trip, the entire trip out of the harbor (starting near the aquarium) was not only freezing cold (not the Pride's fault) but we motored there -- the whole way out!! (Seems kind of odd given that you've signed up to be on a sail boat -- maybe it's regulation) ... the views going from the aquarium around the harbor and back are full of industrial areas and container ships which are not really what people who want to sail around Charleston are apt to be looking for -- and there was no narrative at all or pointing anything out. All in all I loved the old Pride ride -- the views, the narrative, the SAILING (versus motoring) but this was just OK -- nothing special. Crew was nice, but to get great marks in service in this town you have to be better than nice -- you have to really care about the experience of all your guests, and they're not going to make it on that count. Just seemed a little impersonal and cool compared to the previous times I'd sailed with them, even if it was ages ago ... way back when you could bring your own wine :-) It was perfectly fine but I have to admit I was a little disappointed. |

I really enjoyed the sunset sail in the Charleston Harbor. My only regret is that the sail wasn't narrated with some history tidbits. The boat was very nice and the staff was too! |
