| The 2 hour schooner sailboat tour downtown at sunset was beautiful. The view of the city was one that to experience by water...you have to do at least once while in Charleston. The cost of the trip was pricey because drinks were not included or allowed to be brought aboard. The staff was courteous, but no "guided tour" was given. The sail was calm and quiet and could have used a little music in the background. The trip was kid friendly; allowing them to "sail" the schooner and pull the sails up, as directed by staff. |

| The sunset sail was very enjoyable. The crew was friendly and helpful, and made the sail seem very personal. The scenery was beautiful, and provided another glimpse of the beautifully historic Charleston. Highly recomended for a group of friends or a romantic date. |

| We really enjoyed our time on the Schooner Pride. The sunset was beautiful and we took several fantastic pictures. The folks operating the ship were very friendly and helpful.
My wife and I were having our first weekend without kids around the house in several years and we were looking for a quiet, romantic way to end the day. The sunset cruise on the Schooner Pride ALMOST completely fulfilled our desires for the evening, but circumstances more or less out of the control of the ship's operators made the evening less than it could have been. Roughly half of the people on board were apparently having an office party. They spent the entire cruise drinking and talking loudly to one another. Looking around, it seemed as if my wife and I were not the only ones who wished that the office folks had decided to cruise on the Spirit of Charleston instead. It's hard to have a quiet, romantic evening when there are 15 others loudly cutting up around you.
This isn't any fault of the Pride's operators, but it sure did detract from a perfect evening. It's the only reason I didn't give the Schooner Pride five stars. |

| We really enjoyed things, but we were expecting more of a "tour" I guess--more interaction and instruction from the guides. The folks were super nice on board, but we really had to generate conversation--and again we expected this to be somewhat instructional, with some discussion about Charleston and what we were seeing out there on the water--but pretty much it was quiet and looking at the water and having to ask questions ourselves. It was an easy sail and very beautiful--I would only recommend it to folks who wanted to relax and simply sail--not to anyone who was looking for more.
Still we enjoyed it!! |

| It would have been absolutely fabulous to sail closer to the battery. I was on the Pride a few years ago, and we went right along the battery, which is why I took my friends on this little cruise. This time, we went straight out towards Fort Sumter. Not as neat to see. People want to see the Battery and the penisula...all the homes from the water. Change that and it would be fantastic. |
