If you want to run from the stress in your life, go out on the water in a sailing ship. This Sunset Sail was fantastic. So quiet and soothing. We were blessed with a wonderful sunset, good companionship, terrific crew and captain. Going where the wind blows is the best prescription for a life of calm and bliss. |

Peaceful, worthwhile activity - a great way to see Charleston from a different view. The crew was fantastic, totally
accommodating to whatever you might want. One caution - this is not a narrated tour, so you have to ask the crew or look at the flyer they hand out to know what you're seeing. This adds to the overall relaxing nature of the cruise
though, because there isn't the drone of a guide. There were all ages (including elderly) and would be a super activity with kids. Do it! |

When you're in a city like Charleston, you really need to get out on the water. There is no better way to do that than the Schooner Pride. We took the sunset cruise, and enjoyed a magnificent time of day on the water, but I've taken the afternoon sail, too, on a different visit. Actually, I enjoy this trip each visit to the city. You can't go wrong any time of day! |

I think it's an outstanding way to see Charleston. It's relaxing and the crew was informative but didn't narrate the tour which we liked. We did the Sunset cruise which provided me with some fantastic Charleston skyline sunset pictures~ |

Very pleasant crew - helpful and enthusiastic. Ship was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the sunset voyage. Wish more information was shared but in fairness it was not a narrated tour.
Would do it again! |

Climb aboard the Pride Schooner and prepare to enjoy a drink, a snack, and the beautiful view of the Charleston harbor in the evening. Sail on for 2 hours as the sunsets. |

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary in Charleston and so decided to do the sunset sail on the Pride. It was a great way to see the town and some of the other key spots (Fort Sumter) from the water. We were also fortunate enough to catch a great sunset over Charleston. The crew were very friendly and informative when asked questions about the landmarks. The one downside was that you had to pay for drinks on the boat. Would be a nice touch just to provide 1 round on the house. But certainly that doesn't stand in the way of what was an enjoyable evening. |

There's nothing like the instant connection with nature that you feel when the engine shuts off and the wind fills the sails. It's all the more fun when there's a competent captain and a cheerful crew taking care of the sailing for you. Our sail on the schooner Pride was everything it was advertised to be and then some.
The sailing experience is always weather dependant and we had nearly ideal weather so I'm sure not everyone's cruise will be the same as ours. We saw several dolphin as we left the harbor. The wind was perfect for sailing as it usually is here and the Pride showed why the schooner was the boat of choice for 19th century merchants. She's a fast and stable ship under sail and the captain and crew knew what they were doing.
After a pass by Fort Sumpter we came about and enjoyed a fantastic sunset over Charleston as we sailed back into port. All in all it was one of the highlights of a great vacation in a city with a long list of fun things to do. |

We went on the sunset sail as part of our Charleston honeymoon adventure and we loved every minute of it. The boat was beautiful, the crew was fabulous, and we met some great people. Our sail brought us past some beautiful places and treated us to gorgeous views. The sunset was spectacular and we have the pictures to prove it. We would go on this sail again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone! |
