This was a great trip. There were more people than I expected, but it wasn't too upsetting. The trip wasn't narrarated; instead you just got to sail around and enjoy the view, which was really nice because we had already taken narrarated tours. We got to see dolphins and the captain was nice enough to let us sit and watch for a while! The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered any questions we came up with. It would have been nice to get closer to Fort Sumnter and the Charleston shoreline, and to have the boat less crowded, but all in all, it was very relaxing and a great way to spend two hours of our last evening in Charleston! I would definitely recommend this to someone else, and I am eager to try their day sails! |

If it was a calmer, nicer day, the trip would have been great. The crew and captain treated all very well, and were very attentive. I would definitely take this boat ride again! |

Great experience for our first time to Charleston. Not something you'd do every weekend but definately worth doing once. The crew was very friendly and attentive. Had a great time. |

Our brief excursion on the Schooner Pride was the highlight of our weekend with friends in Charleston, SC.
First, our sunset sail had perfect conditions for us to experience the thrill of sailing ... clear moderate weather with blustery winds. Needless to say, we moved through the water at a brisk, smooth pace. The views/perspectives from our in-harbor vantage point were awesome and certainly different than being land-locked. We saw great views of the homes along the battery, historic forts, the USS Yorktown, and sailing under the bridge. Best of all were the sunset views we saw from the schooner.
The captain and crew were experienced, professional, and engaging with each passenger. We knew this was not a narrated historic tour; however, the crew were more than happy to answer any questions we had between their busy work of hoisting sails and changing direction.
We would definitely take the opportunity to sail the Schooner Pride again. Our only regret, was that the two hours flew by before we were ready to stop sailing. |

My 21 year old son, his fiance and I spent a wonderful 2 hours on board this beautiful ship, the Schooner Pride. My son helped raise two of the sails and I'm sure he will remember that for years to come! It was a chilly evening in mid March but plenty of warm, fuzzy blankets were provided. My only complaint was that there were only cold drinks. Hot coffee or chocolate would have been great! We stayed inside the harbor so don't expect to go out into the Atlantic. The crew were informative, helpful and eager. We saw dolphins out in the harbor in addition to the expected landmarks. To sail under canvas with no mechanical power is a once in a lifetime experience for most of us and we reveled in the entire experience. The price was well worth the experience and I plan to repeat the trip when I next visit Charleston. Run don't walk to the Schooner Pride. |

I bought tickets to this event for a six month anniversary outting and I would definitely recommend it.
The crew were very nice without being overbearing. If there was something of interest, they would point it out but this event is by far not a narrated tour. Quiet, peaceful, the views were great and you are bound to see dolphins.
It is just an overall great start or end to an evening. Go sailing and then go and get dinner and drinks, or, get dinner, pack a dessert and go sailing. |

We went on the Pride's maiden voyage of the season in mid-March--a bit chilly. I'd wait until it's warmer. That said, the trip itself was delightful. We sailed at 6:00 p.m., so enjoyed the harbor sunset and the occasional dolphin surfacing near the schooner. My husband had an opportunity to help raise one of the sails and found it to be great fun as well. Don't count on the crew for in-depth historical knowledge. Their common knowledge is terrific, but they were often stumped by more specific questions. Remember that it's much cooler on the water than on land, so dress accordingly. |

Our trip was the Pride's first sunset cruise of the 2009 season, and the crew worked well together to give us an enjoyable and safe trip. My sister and I agreed that it could have been ten degrees warmer and thirty minutes shorter, but the sunset was spectacular! |

We had booked a sunset sailing cruise, When we arrived at the ship we were warmly greeted by the staff and the owner himself who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during the trip/voyage. The cruise itself was extremely disappointing. Instead of a sunset cruise we discovered it was a 'party' cruise to enjoy a parade of boats that were decorated in a Christmas fashion. The boats were well done and although we were able to see many decorated boats as they cam by, our disappointment came from the fact that we simply cruised around the harbor by motor, The sails were never raised. The owner did at the end of our trip offer us a free sail for their next season which was nice but we will probably not have the opportunity to return to that area. In summary they should have told us at the time we booked (Prepaid) what type of cruise it was and we would not have booked. |
