Relaxing but no narration

We would have enjoyed this more if there had been even a little bit of narration. There was about 5 minutes narration regarding the sails and safety and that was all. The staff was pleasant just a little too quiet. Definitely not for young children, our boat was at capacity so there is very little moving around and a third of the people were not sitting on benches.

Sailing was great, but the weather...

Was on board in time. Shortly before we started a thunderstorm broke loose. So we did have some wind, but it was also pouring down. Ponchos didn't help much as they were blown away. The crew was friendly and competent, the tour as such may be pretty nice if undertaken in good weather. We didn't see any sun and consequently we also couldn't observe any sunset. However we had the chance to observe some dolphins alongside the schooner. The vessel is in good shape (I'm an active sailer myself, so I think I can judge that). I would recommend the tour to everybody, given weather is not as bad as it was for us.

we were hoping for a sunset sail and a tour of the forts but due to a thunderous stormy evening we missed out. the schooner still set sail for a wet and wild cruise. still we had an adventurous sail.

The weather was perfect, the crew was personable and professional, the boat was in great shape, the passengers all seemed to be enjoying themselves and me and my date had a fantastic time. The two hours FLEW by!

Two hour sunset sail was great -- very relaxing and a gorgeous sunset. The price of the ticket was a good value.

It would have been absolutely fabulous to sail closer to the battery. I was on the Pride a few years ago, and we went right along the battery, which is why I took my friends on this little cruise. This time, we went straight out towards Fort Sumter. Not as neat to see. People want to see the Battery and the penisula...all the homes from the water. Change that and it would be fantastic.

We really enjoyed things, but we were expecting more of a "tour" I guess--more interaction and instruction from the guides. The folks were super nice on board, but we really had to generate conversation--and again we expected this to be somewhat instructional, with some discussion about Charleston and what we were seeing out there on the water--but pretty much it was quiet and looking at the water and having to ask questions ourselves. It was an easy sail and very beautiful--I would only recommend it to folks who wanted to relax and simply sail--not to anyone who was looking for more. Still we enjoyed it!!

We really enjoyed our time on the Schooner Pride. The sunset was beautiful and we took several fantastic pictures. The folks operating the ship were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I were having our first weekend without kids around the house in several years and we were looking for a quiet, romantic way to end the day. The sunset cruise on the Schooner Pride ALMOST completely fulfilled our desires for the evening, but circumstances more or less out of the control of the ship's operators made the evening less than it could have been. Roughly half of the people on board were apparently having an office party. They spent the entire cruise drinking and talking loudly to one another. Looking around, it seemed as if my wife and I were not the only ones who wished that the office folks had decided to cruise on the Spirit of Charleston instead. It's hard to have a quiet, romantic evening when there are 15 others loudly cutting up around you. This isn't any fault of the Pride's operators, but it sure did detract from a perfect evening. It's the only reason I didn't give the Schooner Pride five stars.

Most enjoyable. Had never been on a sail boat before, educational. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable.
