Great boat ride but no emphasis on dolphin sightin
Sun, May 13  3:00 PM jwarmkessel Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
My family and I very much enjoyed the ride, the crew and the views of Charleston. They say up front that this is not a guided tour, no announcing the sites. This makes it nice to sit back and relax. And the crew will answer any questions. My kids enjoyed helping the crew put up the sails. I realize you can't guarantee dolphins, and we did see a handful, but the emphasis was really about the boat and ride and not searching for dolphins. I would recommend keeping this in mind.

A truly pleasant experience

The crew are personable and fun, the schooner under sail is a great ride and the harbor is pretty. What more could you ask for. Did not see too many dolphins - but that was fine by us.

Fabulous, relaxing excursion in Charleston Harbor

The winds were brisk and allowed us to really experience sailing. It was interesting to watch the mates change our direction with adjustments to the sails. Staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions. This is definately a great way to spend a sunny afternoon after a long morning of walking the streets of Charleston. I would recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys being on the water.

This was a retreat for my office. It was nice to get away and relax. I liked the fact the crew allowed audience participation. Hard working crew.

Fun and beautiful sailing activity!

My husband and I attended this sunset sailing cruise on our honeymoon trip to Charleston. What fun! The boat was beautiful and a lot of fun to sail on, open to the water, and different than getting on the typical "ferry" type boat. The crew was fun and knowledgable about the city and locations we passed by, but it wasn't a narrated tour. They simply left you alone to enjoy the cruise but would happily chat and answer questions if you wished. Everyone was in close proximity, which made me happy that we chose an evening sail and no children were present. It was a lot of couples or groups of couples, and it was nice to have an "all adults" sunset cruise. Kids would love it too, but maybe moreso during the daytime cruises. The evening ones serve alcohol and seem more adult oriented. We passed by many beautiful landmarks, historical areas, and even saw several dolphins! It was a lovely way to spend 2 hours and see Charleston from the water. Highly recommend!

The highlight of my trip to Charleston.

The Schooner Pride sunset cruise was the highlight of my trip to Charleston. Booking through Zerve was easy and hassle free with a friendly, knowledgable staff member who answered all of my questions. The Schooner Pride crew was friendly and proffessional. The passengers were all given informative pamphlets with information about Charleston, the schooner, and a diagram/description of buildings in the Charleston skyline. There were maybe 12-15 people on the cruise (not including crew) which was a big plus since I do not like to be in a large crowd of people. The small number of people made for a quiet relaxing cruise perfect for sunset. Our tour took us past Fort Sumpter and the Battery.

Sail is easy paced and thoroughly enjoyable, gliding around Charleston Harbor. Schooner is clean, and Captain & crew experienced and friendly. Love being able to assist with the sailing. Two hours too short!

An Awesome Trip

The schooner Pride is a great way to see Charleston, especially at sunset. The crew is attentive, but doesn't bombard with you information like some other tourist activities. This activity is for you if you like the open sea and / or low-key, relaxing sight-seeing events.

I would like to start by saying from the first moment I called to book the cruise, the company was very professional, easy to talk to, making the booking process a cinch. Once boarding the sailboat, the crew were all so nice, so authentic. The entire cruise was very relaxing, entertaining and informative. We all would highly recommend the cruise and hope to get the chance to do so again!! Thank you!
